Torrents are the best p2p networksout there.
1. It is faster
2. Identity of sharers are difficult to leak out.
3. The ports are not as vulnerable as in other p2p networks.
4. Helps even if you have a dial up connection as it can be paused or automatically pauses even if you switch off power supply.
5. I have seen files as large as 150 GB yeas giga byte getting transeferred by torrent.
6. Use utoorent as client.
7. Enavle port forwarding.
8. Check out speed and set the down and upload speeds at 80% of actual speed.
9. Use a private tracker.
10. always seed whatever you leech.

I never tried using torrent. I am afraid that I might get viruses and might harm my computer, that my anti virus can't detect it because it's very strong. Though I haven't prove that. I don't want to use it. Anyway I don't download that much. I'm only downloading what I need, most of the time online games and I download it from their site. And if my cousin happened to know that I have a torrent. Like just what happened when I use Limewire. She downloaded many songs. Even viruses and it makes my computer run slower and I'm very much angry.

i do use a torrent to download. to me it is faster and more reliable. i use bittorrent. it keeps track of everything for me and only downloads what i want. it can do automatic downloads for me from a certain criteria of materials that i specify. i would defently recommend geting bittorreent and its free. there is plug-in for it that will increas the speed.

I am using uTorrent and when I wanted it to download faster, I just followed the instructions it provided when it prompted the option of making downloading faster. At first, I was so clueless as what things were and how things worked but, after a long while of reading and re-reading. I finally got it set up to download faster than before which makes it really convenient.
I find torrent downloading safer compared to those like LimeWire, iMesh or any other similar applications wherein you can download files.

I always use torrent in downloading. I use torrent-finder.com as my torrent search site and use Azureus as my torrent downloader. The torrent innovation is one of the best things ever done for downloading. Downloading big files would be a problem if you download it directly from your browser. You can always resume your doenloads using torrent.

My bittorrent search engine es todotorrents.com and I'm using flashget to to "try" to download the files, but nothing works.. nothing makes it download a file and I'm pretty tired of that torrent thing.. I don't know how people can said "Yeah, it's good" when actually is bad.. I'll stay using p2p transfer using irc channels and direct download from others user at normal speed. at least if a user is not logged in a time, as soon as the user comes back I can resume the download without any feed or seed or leech or wherever..

Torrent is sometime faster and sometime slower than snails. It depend on how many people that hold any portion of the files online, the more the better, the faster it gets. Usually if the files is new for a few hours it'll become faster cause many people still downloading it. It's about p2p. My ISP recently had blocked any P2P activities so I don't have the chance anymore to use torrents.

yes we do download from torrent sites. We been using it for over a year now and be careful. You must have a very good antivirus before using torrents as it can have virus in their files, You must install bit torrent, utorrent or anyother client which would download it for you
