There are people who can read or study even they are in noisy place. They can simultaneously read books and watch tv or listen to music. For me that was very difficult because reading books or studying lesson in a noisy place would just make me very slow in understanding what I am reading at that moment. I can only do one thing at a time. That's why every time I want to read books or study I prefer to be in a quiet place. And that's make me fully understand what I read. How about you do you prefer to be in a quiet place while reading or it's just okay for you to hear sounds or watch tv while reading? and why?

I read and study the majority of the time where I will have peace and quiet. Sometimes though I will listen to music, but only music that is soothing and calming. Normally I'll listen to like nature sounds with a light piano with it. I can't concentrate very well in front of the TV in order to read or study.

Complete silence is very essential when you read books. It is essential because for you to absorb the deeper sense, meaning or thought of what you are reading. Silence makes you absorb the message of what you are reading. I personally cant concentrate when im reading while listening to loud music, it doesnt give me focus.

You can watch tv and listen to music at the same time but with reading is different. You cannot read or write your homeworks or assingments in a noisy place, when reading you need all the silence to help you understand what you are reading, but if you are to read nonimportant things like magazines, you can always do it in a noisy place.
