AMD is a good one. But as people generally know only Pentium name more they say that Pentium is the best. But if you are thinking to do low level debugging then better to go for Pentium as AMD will not support it.

AMD has started to eat the market share of Pentium with it's low cost and performance! Though it's still difficult to say which one's the best!

I think that best processor are AMD ones, because they are cheaper and very fast! I own an AMD processor, I am an AMD fan, I always had AMD. Comparing AMD with Intel's processor (remember Pentium is only the name of intel'sprocessors...), they go a bit slow, not so much, but they are cheaper and they are fresh than Intel's one. Pentium is an abandoned name, referring to the old Intel's processors

A central processing unit (CPU), or sometimes simply processor, is the component in a digital computer that interprets instructions and processes data contained in computer programs. CPUs provide the fundamental digital computer trait of programmability, and are one of the necessary components found in computers of any era, along with primary storage and input/output facilities. A CPU that is manufactured using integrated circuits is known as a microprocessor.
