Hi peeps! have you ever been to Negros Oriental? If yes, where did you go? It's a nice place with wonderful beaches, nice resorts both by the sea and on the mountains.
you can try visiting resorts that are managed by the local government unit because they are inexpensive. A good example of these resorts is the one located in Lake Balanan, Siaton! its so nice and serene there and the room price is only 1 thousand pesos (the most expensive room). There is also a tree house and 3 swimming pools, a falls and of course, the lake.. Come and visit.

I've been to Negros Oriental because I'm from Negros Oriental hehehe. Lake Balanan is terrific for someone adventurous like me, been there twice. Beach resorts are nice and affordable.
October is Buglasan Festival and there's also the Oktoberfest and lots of food.

I haven't been to Negros at all but I've heard of its beaches. it's less popular than other beaches in the Philippines which is a good thing as most of its waters are unexploited. I'll try to go sometime before I die hopefully hehe. 1k a night is very cheap already! How's the food? Anything special?
