Well it's that time again when you grab bags and bags of Candy and then you invest in foot massages. LOL!!! I have five kids that are asking me every day when trick or treating will commence. LOL!! I have yet to get back to them on that since I'm waiting for my SO's mom to give me a call back after she finds out when it is. Also I'm probably going to take my kids trick or treating in my friends neighborhood. LOL!! That way our kids can go together. LOL!! So how do you spend your Halloween? Do you have kids that you take trick or treating or do you play tricks during that night?

I am taking my kids trick or treating, but not for too long. They still have candy from LAST Halloween in the pantry. They get it and then do not eat it, but they like the actually going out and getting it part.

I don't hate halloween, and I actually did go trick or treating when I was like 4th and 5th grade. When I became 6th grade, I had a feeling that I'm too old for it, and yeah I think that's pretty good excuse to avoid trick or treating. I still do like the idea of getting free candies, but I just didn't want to dress up with one of those funny or creepy looking costumes, that's just not me at all lol. I still think that's it is one of those days you can go out around the neighbor and get some free candies just to have some chilling day. Now, I really don't like playing tricks on few other kids; I just find that kind of silly for me. Maybe I will take my kids to trick or treating whenever I have them first and old enough for them to walk out in the night, depending on my will lol

I do not do the trick or treating thing, hubby usually does that. I have my signs now from school to ban anyone from knocking at the door too. My middle son actually said tonight that he did not want to go trick or treating, so I am actually forming a plan, I will buy loads of sweets and set up a trick or treat trail for them, not sure how the trick thing will come in to it but I have a week or so to think of something hee hee hee.

Signs from the school to ban knocking for trick or treat??? Interesting! Where I live it's all based on what house lights are on!!!

Yes, the school give out signs that say sorry no trick or treaters here. It stops unwanted callers then, a lot of people are too scared to open the door when it is dark and so this is just a polite way of telling people.

BUSY!! lol every year we do this pumpkin carving thing at the house, usually a few days before halloween, to kick things off. have people over, buy a bunch of pumpkins, make a giNORMous mess, and decorate the front yard. this year.. including mal and myself, and of course the sprite.. there will be 7 adults and 4 kidlets joining in on the festivities. it seems to grow in attendance every year we havent decided exactly how we are doing the trick or treating yet.. but im trying to gather a few of the sprites friends together to go in our neighborhood as a group. after sugar highs have been achieved, and the kidlets have dispersed, if weather allows.. a bonfire will be laid into the back. this year is the first year in forever that well have a complete circle *happies*

We usually have some children call and we have a large bag of goodies at hand to give them some each, there is only one problem, last year we had some Halloween visitors that were far older than they should have been and I ma convinced that they were hoping to be paid in hard cash rather than a dolly mixture or two,but I am afraid that I saw them off!I enjoy the little ones calling, and often they have apparent in tow to keep an eye on them, they dress up and enjoy the fun,and the thrill of trick or treating is exiting for them.

I'm not joining this year. i feel like I'm too old for it already. I'll just buy a bag of candy for myself haha that way I won't even have to dress up anymore. It's really hot and humid in my country so dressing up isn't that fun. I'd love to take my kids next time when I have them though. :D

well this year i believe we are staying in and watching scary movies yeah! i usually take my little sister trick or treating in the various neighborhoods near us. but this year out of the blue she declared that she is too old (13) to be trick or treating! which really surprised me, since when i was younger, both myself and everyone i knew tried to trick or treat past 16 years old lol!! we will buy candy to hand out of course. though its more likely that we will end up eating it will watching the movies, cause we are lucky to get 1 or 2 kids come down our street.

Halloween never used to be much of a celebration in the UK Bella. So I like to spend it quietly at home fending off the marauding children from the neighbourhood with cheap sweets (candy) or fruit. Personally I find it all a bit overblown. What exactly are we celebrating? However, I shall not be a grump. Enjoy and be careful. XX
