Well it's great that you decided to join us here on Mylot when English
is not your first language, but it is actually the only language you can
use here. On the other hand, as you've already discovered, it is not the
easiest thing to express yourself in a foreign language, but you obviously
like the idea of sharing thoughts and opinions, so let's see what we can
do to help.
There are actually a number of TRANSLATION services available, and if you
use one, it will also help your English, because you will be able to write
in your own language, have it translated, and then if you have a look to see
what it looks like in English, you will gradually find that your English is
improving as well. One such service is called BABEL FISH, and you will find
it at http://babelfish.yahoo.com/
One simple way to try it out would be to COPY this entry and PASTE it into
BabelFish for translation into Chinese. Unfortunately you will not be able
to Copy and Paste into Mylot, so you will have to Copy and Paste into a page
in your own Word Processor, so that you can write the English version into
Mylot. Best of luck!

The basic answer to your question is....NOT NECESSARILY, because it's almost
impossible for any translation program to get everything exactly right, but
the important thing is that we would all have a pretty good idea of whatevr
you're trying to say.
On the other hand, what are the alternatives? You could give up and miss the
chance to chat with the rest of the world, or decide to wait till you feel
really confident writing in English. I love exercising my little bit of Spanish,
but I always have to start by telling any Spanish speaker I meet, that my
vocabulary is muy poco.....very small! The name of the game is communications,
and you really know what it means when you're stuck late at night in a French
city, with a hungry family waiting for a meal, and you have only your wits
and sign language to get the message across to a chef!
It's more important to try, especially with people who are willing you along.

well there are as a person said many translation sites but they are not overly accurate. for example on youtube if you type something in arbabic using english letters the results will be at the least amusing =P
for example.. hileema (a dream) youtube translated it to english in a shall we say more grown up --- rated way lol...
so it is a good idea to READ what those translation sites spit out and see if the translated version of your text makes sense!!

I think that if you use the english language consistantly you will become better at the language and there for able to communicate better. If you continue to use your own language you will never be able to use the english language any better.
