After years of being used and all, the keyboard gets filled up with dust and whatnot inside and out, and I really hate having it like this.. can someone tell me any info about how to clean up this mess?

Well, I clean my keyboard using a small paint brush(one inch width will do)and I just turn it upside down and brush in between the keys. I also tap it keys-down so all the dirt and dust falls off. try it and see if it will work. good luck

Clean it daily with soft brush. and best way to keep clean is use poly cover for key board. happy posting!

Cleaning the keyboard is very easy. If had time disemble all the parts in the keyboard and make a note about what you did. Please note the diagram of key board layout and kept it aside. You have to write down the position of the every letter. You will have some fun while you are doing this. If you are doing this for first time, be careful when handling with parts. It will take some time as it was the first time. After cleaning all the parts, assemble them using your note.
If you don't have that much time to disemble, clean it with a brush and a air blower. It will be enough for a keyboard cleaning.
