Hi all, last 2 days my computer was suffered with the funny spyware.
Why i said funny is because it create a ballon type of message and inform me that "Your computer is infected! Windows has detected spyware infection." The creator purposely trigger users so that he/she will click on that and so to trigger more delete functions or harmful actions to the system.
So my computer finally declare "caput", means not able to boot up.
Do you encounter similar funny spyware?? any special spyware you encounter before?
Quote from wiki "Spyware is computer software that is installed surreptitiously on a personal computer to intercept or take partial control over the user's interaction with the computer, without the user's informed consent."Thanks for sharing in advance and happy mylotting.!

Use Process explorer and kill task for malicious file running. That's the time you can manual delete the source file of the spy ware. Usually they are found in under system32 folder. They have funny names like a rumble letters that has a extension file .dll. Try also disable its start up in msconfig to make the file not run after windows startup to prevent the file running.

Some are just spyware, they spy on you. Some are malware, they do bad things to you. These are not funny at all. It is best to be protected with antivirus. Cheers!!

Hi, one of my friends encountered the same problem, the spyware was "XP anti-virus". When the unit booted up the said spyware took control of the system and my friend found it difficult to manage his own system. I would suggest a trusted anti-virus with anti-spyware capability, before even if i have a license AV and downloaded latest virus database signature still i encountered some spyware intrusion in my system until i have now the Kaspersky Anti-Virus which has a very good feature and protection that really works...

Hi N30wing, thanks for sharing on your experience, some of my friend do use the Kaspersky Anti-Virus too, but they mentioned it will little bit slow as it will scan almost every file. But i think it should be ok at least we know that the documents attach or going to open is safe.
