How often do you update your wardrobe?

I do update my wardrobe at least 3 times a year. I used to be a sucker when it comes to shopping for new clothes. But I have changed such practice because I wanted to save more money. What I do is to buy more clothes of basic colors so I could easily mix and match. Normally, what I really take out of my closet are clothes that do not fit me anymore or those that are obviously out of fashion.

I usually update my wardrobe whenever my brother comes home from his overseas work that is usually twice a year. He usually treats us on a shopping spree. I usually buy clothes that I use at work. I rarely buy for myself. I’m that frugal.

Hi dolce,
I really don't update a lot...LOL! i love buying clothes but I am not very particular about the fad, as long as I feel comfortable on it, I will keep it and love also to mix and match! I used to choose clothes every December to give to friends and relatives and those are the one that I didn't like anymore!

I still have clothes that I bought several winters ago and still wear them. I may buy the occasional new top, dress for a special occasion, new shoes when my old ones have worn out, but I still have clothes from 5 years ago. Whether they are in fashion or not I still where them.

I don't really update my wardrobe... but i add from time to time... like when there is a mall wide sale... i tend to buy a shirt or two... right now... i cannot afford to go on a shopping spree...
I just discard the clothes that i think are no longer presentable... my closet consist mainly of t-shirts... because i feel that they are more comfortable to wear than blouses...

Hello dolce. I have not exact time to update my wardrobe, but if the clothes do not fit me, I will send them to my brother-in-law for him to use as his working uniform as he is more related to physical labor. And the most pleasant is that he is happy to wear the clothes I give him. So I always keep them for him and give them to him.

I update my wardrobe whenever I get any money spare that I can spend on me! That is not very often though with three kids to buy for. I was going to have a new jumper next week, unfortunately though I have to buy my son a new coat instead! So I shall have to wait for a little bit longer!

Hi dolc_vita78,
Oh, I hve not update my wardrobe for years, as I have jeans that never go out o fashion and tops that you can wear year in year out, but I have bought couple of tops not long ago, I don't go out very often so there is no need for me to keep buying clothes.

I don't have an exact number of times when I update my
wardrobe. I guess it would be when I clean out my closet
for the summer and winter. I just did a major cleanout
of summer clothes the other day when I changed over my
clothes to put my winter clothes in the closet. I threw
out things that I had been keeping for way too long that
were faded and outdated and didn't fit and that was just
time to get rid of. And I will take a look next spring
when it's time to take them out again and see what I need.
I had bought some things this year so I will just need
to replace some of what I got rid of. I now have to get
a few things more for the winter. I am looking for a new
winter jacket in a beige color since every jacket I have
is black. I need some other color to wear with brown and
navy clothes. I also need some more jeans and I'm pretty
much set. Since I'm not working I don't really need too
much except warm clothes because my apartment is so cold
it's like being outside. So I got a great bargin on sweat
pants last week. I paid $7.99 a pair for mens sweat pants
in KMART! I bought 6 pair because I couldn't find any
in any of the stores and they were Joe Boxer a really
good brand! They are warm and made well and great to
wear around the house! Boyfriend convinced me to get them!
He knows I'm always freezing and how cold the apartment
gets! So I'm almost ready for the New York winter! No
I'm not! It gets way too cold here!

whenever my clothes wear out :P Lol seriously though I ran out of church shirts because they were ALL getting holes and splotching and everything so in the back to school clearences and tax free weekend (which they have here in NC for school break) I got more on clearances most cost 3 bucks and those were NICE shirts, did splurge on the gym shoes though, 30 bucks. but like a month later I realized all my hang out and over shirts were worn out and too small too... so then I got 5 bucks and went to the thrift shop and got awesome shirts... and like 2 weeks ago walmart was selling some nice fitted ts for 3 bucks, snagged those too, thats how i shope for clothes... and gives an Idea of when I update.
