The environment is everything that surrouds us:plants, buildings, countrys, air, water,
car-literally everything that can effect us in any way.The environment of a town, with its buildings and traffic and its noise and smells, where everyone is top of everyone else ,is far cry from of the countrysede, with its fields and crops ,its wild and domestic animals. And the environment differs in different parts of the world.
Man is a part of the environment and has done more to upset the ecology during his short span on earth than any other living creature.

I have to agree with this. I had to spend a fortune just to find a house that has some property with some actual trees and neighbors that were not on top of me. Now I will spend the next 40 years paying for it and fighting to keep developers from building anything next to me that will harm my kids. I love the deer and other wildlife that come into my yard. I am tired of air polution but what are we going to do about it. We all need to get from point A to point B. You can buy a car that has emitions control and all the latest gadgets on it but then you are spending the next 40 years paying for that too. Humans have made sure to keep building things with machines that produce more polution but at the same time producing jobs. So what exactly are we supposed to do. We need to work to pay for our homes and cars but at same time try not to polute the earth.
