My dear friends and other myLot users, I came up with this discussion after I have recieved a best response from a myLot friend.
When I posts discussions I always monitored those to have my comments posted again and give them ratings.
What I realy do'nt realized that somehow I should mark one response as the best, although I knew that I should have to choose one , but due to my own rush, I have forgotten it, thanks God a myLot friend chosses my response as his best recieved response on his posted discussion. That way I felt guilty of not choosing one good response from my friend or other myLot users as the best. I know all those responses and comments I recieved from my friends here and other users are great and had sense but still I have to choose one, so now I'll start to choose and marks best response to my posted discussions.
Have you mark one? or you as well forgotten it?

When a discussion hasn't been marked with the best response yet, it becomes an "unresolved discussion" on our list. Well, it's good to reward people with the best response on all our discussions, especially those who really deserve it, But do take your time in choosing, nobody would probably get mad at us if we don't mark the best response just yet. I often forget to make a best response,honstly,i don't know how to make a best response because of all discussions is good for me.I have got a few of best responses,when i saw the best response first,i was very excited.So i will do my best to make a br,keep posting,everyone will get br.

Yeah that's truely wonderful, but the positive and the negative rate will be of no use anymore, and users will not gonna be inspire to make their responses be of good quality, In short there will never be any compition and exitement for us to stay here in this site.

Yes very confusing, Its very hard to decide, most of the time responses are of good quality and very well explained. I have my own creteria for judging. First it has proof, second well explained, third most of the used words corelates with the discussion, fourth positive mentality of the respondent and last is knowledgeable.

I am a new user,I haven't mark one as best response.No I will do it in the future.If someone mark my comment as best response,I will be excited and happy.So I will do my best to post my comment and hope my comment be best response.

As you said you're a newbie, and you have'nt award a best response to all responses you got and since all users had their own way of thinking, just rate them according to what is just, if you still do'nt know how, it's on the right side of every posts discussions and responses of all users. It's the +, - and ! sign. But I recomend not to rate negative, although users will not be inform of the rate you gave them but just being fair. If you think that the response you recieve is over the belt, still do not rate negative instead hit the (!) sign it will be reported as violation, and that user will be warn by the site's administrator. And one thing add as many friends as you can, this will give you a great chance to have more responses on your posts.

Oh, you need to atleast select a best response because you need to resolve all the discussions and if you can not resolve then it will just be under the unresolved menu.

I do mark best responses but I like to wait a few days before I do. Being on the other side of the world from America and Europe I like to give everyone a chance to look at the discussion and comment on it. I usually give out a best response no later than a week after I started the discussion.
The best way to check this is to look at your unresolved discussions and see which ones are still outstanding.

Hi sharra1 thanks for the response, In my view it is better to give more time for other users to read our discussions and respond on it, then I think if we found that a cretain response suits the criteria of what we are looking for that''s the time we award it, no matter how long it will take as long as we make follow ups on our unresolve post and read its responses.

hi omar I do sometimes forget to give best response as I
learned as a newcomer if you give one too early people sometimes'
quit responding so I always wait now at least one or t wo weeks. but I get busy and I sometimes do forget.

Yeah it's true we wait for others to participate in our posted discussion in order for us to award the best response, but due to our eagerness to posts more, we forgot about it. Thanks that we have users that reminds us of our negledience. Great posting .....LOL

I always mark a best response for my every started discussion. It means that I give them a feed back, but I can only choose one. So I do other alternative, I always give them a rate who make a reponse in my discussion.

MOst of the time i will wait for at least 3 months b4 i award my best repsonses to those whom responsed to my post ^_^ IN a way, it's to encourage more ple to respond to it, and the way thing, is to make sure, i really have the response i want and it's really useful to me ^_^ BUt during the early days when i just joined mylot, i often forgot to award my best responses, till i receive one, only then i will check my own post.. haha ^_^
BUt now, i will make it a point to check every now and then, so that i can settle for one best response within the 3 months, if not earlier ^_^ hehe

I have always mark a best response for all the discussions that I have started because if they took the time to read my discussion then I want to make sure that someone gets a best response.
