Homeschool yourself?

I dropped out of highschool halfway through because of overcrowding and disinterested teachers not teaching me anything. I chose to basically homeschool myself through a Christian distance learning program. Anyone else done that? I get alor of sideways glances about it.

I tried to guide myself through the rest of high school...maybe if my mom had a little more money for the books I needed, or for a charter type school you described I would have done better. I just opted to get my GED at 21...and passed with flying colors. But now, I am homeschooling...er, rather unschooling, my own children. I think its great waht you've decided to do, and I encourage you to keep on track and keep looking toward the goal. I am now taking college classes through a distance learning program at Ashford University...in two more years I will have a bachelors degree, and I couldn't be more happy. There are ample college opportunities for homeschool graduates, despite popular belief, so you can truly go as far as you want to go!!
