I think makeup is a tool only to be used to enhance natural beauty. I really dislike seeing a woman with too much make up, like if they give you a hug, then you have part of their face all over your shirt or clothes.
I really don't care for it overall though. My wife wore some on our wedding day, it was like the third time I'd ever seen her in some before we had gotten married. She looked gorgeous. But I love her natural beauty more than that other stuff.
What say you mylot ladies? and other mylot Guys?
Thanks for participating.

Wow, I used to think that same way. Although my way of thinking has changed, to now I think makeup can enhance some features on woman in areas that lack or could use an extra boost; I no longer think that a woman isn't real or phony. I do think that the ones that wear a whole like maybe have been through a lot in life and didn't receive the proper attention they needed as a child. Or they are trying to hide some hideous thing that happened to them that they don't want others to judge them if they knew the full story.
I just pray that they can get free from that torment and way of thinking.

The only time I like to wear a lot of make up is for Hallowe'en. I'm open to it for role playing in the bedroom too. But on a regular basis, I don't wear much at all, but I do wear it every day I leave the house.

My what silky white hair you got there (LoL!)
Wanting to look your best is fine, and nothing is wrong with it.
Its when women go OVERBOARD, that makes it look weird and in some cases horrible.

hi hdjohnson I wear very little makeup usually a bit of brown eyebrow pencil as my eyebrows are white, and a nice lipstick and I m set to go. Ilike the natural look on most women as it gives
'them that real beauty that all the paint in the world cannot
give.Too much make up makes most women look rather sleezy like maybe they are a street walker, also its very aging to a younger face, and to an older woman its just plain hideous to myway of thinking.

Hatley, I am honored by your response to my discussion. You're one of the highest ranking persons that I've seen thus far to respond in mylot. I agree, the natural look is the best look of all! After all it's what you came out the womb with, so why not wear it the best way you can. ~ ~ At your street walker comment. ~ Interesting view point you have there. I won't touch that last part of your last statement; regarding an older woman.
Thanks again for your response!

correct, couldn't say it better myself. Women who wear excessive make up look like tramps, not at all classy.
Speaking about myself, I LOVE to buy make-up, unfortunately I never get to use it. I wear minimal make-up. My favourite is a classly slim line of black or dark blue(I have brown eyes) eyeliner, and a sprinkle of blush and I'm ready to go.
I often see girls wear a lot of makeup, but I noticed that mostly jocks are into those types of girls!
All my boyfriends always told me they prefer girls who don't have a noticeable amount of makeup on, as opposed to the ones who do!

I used to wear makeup when I was working in the public but since I am not working on a regular job anymore, I do not wear it.. I love the freedom from having to "put your face on" everyday and so I quit wearing it as soon as I quit working.. I love not being a slave to the made up face..

I rarely ever wear makeup. If I do, it's only lipgloss.
I don't color my hair or do anything to my hair besides trim it every 3 months, brush daily and wash regularly. Rarely even blow dry it.
The only thing I put on my skin, is moisturizer with sunscreen.
No manicures, pedicures or fake nail tips.
I'm pretty much a "natural" girl when it comes to beauty regimens.
My husband is like you, he doesn't care for much makeup and prefers me to be natural.

Your husband sounds like my childhood best friend. We pretty much had the same tastes in the type of girl/women we like to see. All of which who didn't wear makeup, etc... Lipgloss I didn't consider to be makeup as it is clear at least I think that's the only color it comes in. I could be wrong there. I consider lipgloss to be more of a chapstick specifically for women, whereas chapstick is universal.

Well, Lipgloss can be clear or can also be somewhat like "liquid" lipstick. With more sheen and light amounts color rather than the cakey matte color that lipstick has.
Chapstick and similar products are somewhat separate from lipgloss as their primary goal is to moisturizer the lips without color (for the most part). Some brands do offer tinted versions. I have not used the tinted kinds though.
And just to discuss that part of it, I prefer Softlips brand or Carmex to Chapstick.
Chapstick feels somewhat "waxy" to me, where Softlips and Carmex don't.

me, i liked to wear make up, but since getting married its not my main priority. i've always love wearing it since i was little putting on those tinkerbell make-up things. but now make-up is so expensive anyway and i just don't have the time. i'll put it on for special occasions but like you said, too much isn't good. the best way to put make-up on is to make like you don't have any on. my husband doesn't really care either way. when i put on make-up i normally concentrate on my eyes because i think they're the best features on my face and also the focal point. but its been a while since i have put on anything.

I wear make up. As you say, I use it as a tool to enhance natural beauty. I also use it as a form of protection for my skin against the elements (sun, wind, toxins, etc.) I like my skin and want it to age gracefully so I help it out as much as possible.

Wow. I didn't think I would receive any folks that agreed with my point of view. All Natural is the sexiest of them all in my opinion.

I prefer bare skin... at least for me... make up is just too much of a hassle for someone my age with not that horrid of looks :P

Well it's an interesting thread. Once I have been in a new year party and saw a gorgeus girl with lots of makeup on. Well it looked good on her, and I couldn't think anything bad. But then the next morning I saw her without it, and it was like "what the hell!?" :D So natural beuty is number one, I guess :)

I like to put on make-up, but definitely not a lot. I've seen girls wear so much foundation that it looks REALLY fake. I don't like that at all, I don't think its attractive. I think that having the whole package with foundation, blush, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, and whatever else should just be worn for just special occasions, like weddings or prom. Not being over done with make-up I think is better because it lets people see the real you.

Me too, I detest too much make-up. A little touch-up, if we may call it that, is no big deal, like some lipstick, light shades on the eyebrows. When it is heavy, the make-up makes a person look totally different from their natural self. Take Michael Jackson, for example.

I do wear makeup but I try to go for the natural look. I wear a foundation that matches the color of my skin so that my skin will look even and unblemished. Then some days I add a hint of blush but most of the time I go without it. I leave my eyes alone but I always wear a light lip color.

Make up is good as long as it is used to enhance natural beauty but not if it is used to substitute beauty. natural beauty is the best. It is a God given gift so flaunt it ladies.
