Unknown Sender?

Hi. I was quite surprised last Tuesday while I was checking my spam e-mail folder. I received an e-mail message from an unknown sender with blank subject and message areas. Is this really possible? Is there such a thing called "anonymous e-mail"?

this kind of email maybe have been checked by your anti-virous sofeware or something alse. It doesnt matter, and your mail box is safe.

I also have such spam mails. I am more scared of those kind of mails because these mails might contain virus that are not visible by the naked eye but by a virus scanner.
