Oh doesn't it upset you when Members still post ref links in their replies!

I don't start many discussions so I am lucky that this hasn't happened to me very often but it just makes me mad when someone comes along and posts their ref link in your discussion! Don't people read the rules? The ones where it states that you can't post your ref link in mylot!!!!! so its not fair on the people that are doing the right thing!
Don't these people wonder why when they are reading though the thread as to why no one else has posted any ref link's, I mean honestly only common sense would tell you that your not allowed if there are none right!
Sorry I know I am ranting and just had to get that off my chest.....
So please tell me how do you feel about this and does this happen to you alot too?

I posted a link to my blog in someone's discussion because that person had asked us to give our blog links if we had them. It wouldn't make me mad if someone did it to me - I'd be grateful they'd answered my discussion in the first place, because not many people do!

Um then maybe a link to a blog is different then a link to a program that you are a member of and trying to get referral's for?????? Or does mylot see them both as the same because a blog is your own personal page but you don't really get referrals for it do you ????

Hi Msmell, It doesnt happen often but when it does, (only the money making ones) I just hit the exclamation button and report it to stop my discussion getting deleted and just their comment instead as this way it doesn't affect others who have responded without giving this type of link but have answered the discussion. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi there msmell!
I do not mind much when people send me private messages with referral links as I can delete them anytime. It's different when they post those referral links in the responses they post for my discussions. I do not want to be the one to suffer the consequences of the ignorance of other people. I do not know but I think they are not reading the guidelines. Or, even if they do, they simply do not care. What matters most for them is that they are able to post those referral links.

Yeah you can delete them when they send them to you in a private message but I still think that is rude unless you have asked them to send it to you and they should read the guidelines but I guess they are just plain lazy and don't care if what they do affects other people!

it does happened to me just recently and eventhough it's frustrating but i won't be affected with it anymore coz of the report button there. to tell you a story about what happened to one of my discussion, i reported it and it was deleted yet my discussion wasn't. so i was thinking that if you gonna report it to them then that's the only one they gonna delete or perhaps because i pleaded to them not to delete my discussion. but report it before they catches it first coz the entire discussion might be deleted.

Yeah i have only just learned that you are able to hit that report button and report them to admin for posting a link and then admin only remove their comment and not the whole discussion. So in the future if that ever happens to me again I will use that button and I am glad to hear that you were able to use it and didnt get you thread deleted either

I don't start many discussions either but I have had members post referral links in my discussions also. They know better too. We lose our points, earnings and discussions when they do that.

Yeah and its not fair on you when that happens because you lose also not just them and you are the one that has done nothing wrong, so I guess for me that is why i also just prefer to reply to other peoples discussion and if I even see a ref link in one of the discussions i open then I don't even bother making a reply in there I just go on to the next one because you know that it is only going to get deleted anyway!

I hate it when that happens! You know I've seen some discussions with referral links then someone posts about TOS violation and the person apologizes, OK they made a mistake. But then I've seen some who just do it anyway and keep on! I want to delete their discussion right then and there
