The only time I cook chicken without the skin is when I buy skinless chicken pieces. Then I usually bake or stir fry it. Fried chicken and roasted chicken just aren't very good without the skin, in my opinion. I don't eat it that way often, so I don't worry too much about the health consequences.

I'm the same way.
I can't imagine cooking chicken
without the skin, even if I don't eat it
afterward.

I dont like chicken skin but sometime I cook it. Like when I cook gravy chicken (Indian dishes) I put some chicken skin for natural oil- its give a good look. When I put it on grill, I never keep skin. My mom like chicken skin and wings. She cook it seperatley with all spices.

We always leave the skin on the chicken when we're cooking it. It's extremely yummy, and if we pay for a chicken, we are going to get our money's worth and eat everything we paid for, except the bones, but they won't go to waste. We'll toss them into some soup later on.

That sounds interesting.
I've never gotten the hang
of cooking chicken stock with bones.

the skin has all the favor but if you are trying to lose weight you have to remove the skin because the fat is in the skin maybe you should wrap the chicken after removing the skin to keep the juices inside. i take the skin off for health reason.

I leave the skin on when cooking, I can not make it brown and crispy without the skin, MY hubby cooks it without and makes it look just like it has skin on it. I think it is a matter of taking the time to cook it slow and I just don't like standing so long. They say it is not good for you but in these days and times dont' see much that they say is good for you anymore.

I prefer removing it but my parents seems not approving to the idea. I worry that we might have heart problems and not knowing it. I know that anything with liver have cholesterol and chicken is not an exemption. The skin have it as well as the fats. Luckily, they remove the fats instead. I want to remove the skin to cause its a temptation especially when friend(very crispy) and Im working my way convinsing them. Wish me luck!

I always take it off afterwards. Cooking without it tends to dry it out.

I will leave the chicken skin on because it will taste better. We have many ways to cook the chicken. I almost won't see the chicken dish is without chicken skin. Some people may remove the chicken skin if they want to make the soup. I still keep it. It will be delicious. I am not afraid of the oil:)

I do not like chicken skin on my chicken and whether or not it has all the nutrients, I remove every piece of it once I am the one cooking the chicken. If however, someone else cooked the chicken and serve it, or when eating out and the chicken comes to me and still has the skin, I remove it...especially for BBQ chicken.

Most of the time I do. It helps keep the juices in. And then after it is cooked, it is simple enough to remove the skin. Works with the grill or when baking it too. Sometimes if I have seasoned the skin I will leave it on. It can increase the flavor.

Sometimes I leave it on in general, like when making fried chicken and such, to keep it more mois. Removing it after would take off the breading. Other than that, I do remove it. I usually buy the boneless-skinless packs.. so it does not come up often.

I do leave the chicken skin on when cooking.. huhu.. and I also eat it..heh. I know it is not good for health but I don't know I still couldn't resist when I saw the chicken skin. Thank God, until today I don't have any health problem like fat or else. I think maybe because I'm active person. I like to clean up my house, walking and jogging. :D

Normally when I cook chicken, I would have the chicken in its original state. which is the skin being intact. After cooking it then, if any of the family members being served wish to remove its skin, they can do so. Of course, I realize that by cooking with the chicken skin, the oil from the skin get into the gravy or soup. This will definitely leads to more oil being consumed into our body.

I always leave the chicken skin on... because that adds to the flavor of the food... it wouldn't taste like real chicken without the skin... and like you i take it off... because too much chicken skin is actually bad for the health... i think it has something to do with cholesterol level or something...

hi beauty queen nope I always take it off as
it contains so much fat, then I dip it in buttermilk
'and crushed cornflakes for a crispy brown yummmy
crust myself. It holds in juices and browns up and I
really like the flavor. I dont like the skin, and
I never did. I never ate the skin as it made my tummy
queasy at the very idea. Yucky. Some things I dont eat like
fowl skins and chicken feet and cow brains, all yuck yuck
and yuck.

I leave the chicken skin on when cooking chicken as I love eating the skin as do my boyfriend. Most people that I know when they cook chicken on BBQ's and stuff leave the skin on.

Yes, I do. I sometimes will buy chicken that has just a little bit of skin on it.. Or, I will peel off the extra amount of fat off of the chicken.. My grandmother always takes the skin off her chicken when cooking it.. I think she does this because of her blood pressure and cholesterol issues.. Sometimes, having some skin on the chicken, makes it taste better. I just hate all that extra amount of fat on it..
