Education is very important in peoples' life. It is the best gift a parent can give to their children because it can't be taken away from them no matter what. But do you think it is still important if you only end up unemployed and only depend on others to survive? I know you will really comment on this. So what are you waiting for..hehe.

Education is very inportant but in todays world i hope the children realize how important school is we as parents take our responsiblity to send our children through school but today a lot kids is just brushing education under the rug we have so many drop outs these days i have wonder do children value their education as much as their parents do.

Yes that's true ann! I really wish that children would realize how important education is in their life. While we learn about other lessons outside the classroom. It is still important to go to school. There are things we learn in the classroom that we can't learn outside and vice versa. So it's better to try both. But it's good to study in school first. The experiences outside after graduation will become a new lesson to tackle for the future.

hi meticulo
education is still important. we can cultivate our talents and know what field we belong. learning is a continuing process so even if you are out of school, you can still learn from your experiences.
take care

I do think education is important - but LIFE EDUCATION - having opportunities to follow your dreams and desires, even making mistakes and learning how to correct them, not merely formal education.
When a lot of people think about education, they are thinking about school, college, post graduate, and earning degrees which 'should' ensure you a decent job. In today's world, I have less confidence that formal schooling really does get you assurance of that job, as I have seen friends with engineering degrees end up living with their parents at 28 and working at Wendy's because they cannot find a job even though they are beyond qualified.
I think it's important to receive a well rounded education that teaches you how to survive on your own in real life. This means it has to be less focused on pure academics (like english, math, science, history) and more focused on what a young adult needs to know - how to apply for a job, a loan, how to budget, communication, how to influence people and effectively 'barter' for what you need in exchange helping someone else, take care of your longterm health physically and emotionally (yes Virginia, exercise is important) and above all, learn how to be internally motivated and independent instead of externally motivated and DEPENDENT. If you want something, go get it. If you don't know how, research and figure it out. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask but be sure you will do everything YOU can yourself before asking.

Education is indeed very important nowadays especially on this age of crisis where people can only depend on the learnings and education to have a good job and earn well for their living. Education is the only thing that our parents can give us so that we can stand on our own and earn for our own so that if we have a family of our own this will be the key for your family to survive. Education is very important and this are priceless.

Yes, education is very important. It's something that will be useful throughout one's life. It's yours to keep and use to the best of your ability. Even though times are tough right now and good jobs are hard to come by, at least if you have a decent education your job prospects will be greater when the job market reopens.

Even if you have already graduated college and got the best paying career one could get, education will always be important. I'm too old for school right now but I still have desire to learn more and more and they don't teach everything while you are in school. You have to take matters into your own hands. If you lose your job, then you get up and go find yourself another one.

No matter how young or old we are, education is very important. Education will change our lives for the better. It is something that we must acquire on our own and I believe that education is not confined to the four walls of our classroom. Being a graduate doesn't guarantee that we are educated because we can only say that we are educated if we truly learned. Those who are educated and with good quality surely will not be unemployed for a long time. They will find ways to earn money because they have the necessary skills and ability to do so.

Well even if you end up unemployed you can still use your education to find some kind of work right? I think that there are many job openings out there. People are just being picky. So staying unemployed is a choice and not really something that can't be solved. Relying on your parents is also a choice. Your education can take you anywhere. You don't have to be a genius to land a job. You can start working at the mall or even in McDonalds then build your career from there.

education is a very important matter in life. we can never think of something better to solve any problems that can come into our life, we can't do things that others can, we can't compare ourselves to other who are educated.

there are different types of education. Education can be taught in school so you call it academic education. Education that can be taught in some technical school, still you call it technical education. While you will be spending a penny on these kinds of education, still it will not guarantee you job security. Perhaps, what is lacking is an education that makes you deal with your every day work. I think this is what is lacking today. And where else can you get that? From the streets.
Although you find this idea very weird but most people are very impractical which makes their education absurd. Education from the streets could simply make you streetsmart. Where else can you find true commerce but in the streets. Where else can you find some non-conventional knowledge but from the streets. The streets can teach you to be practical. Take a walk in the alley halls or in the nearest backyard. There you will learn how some people treat other people. How gangsters work? But, the thing about being streetsmart is you have to be safe!
learn from the streets and it is for free. Probably you should be needing some hair cut and let your barbers talk to you! You will learn everything plus that good hair cut!

You have a strong point there. Education is not only what you learn in classroom but through dealing with people in different walks of life. Sometimes, the degree you took up would not be the job you work now. But still no matter what it takes, education is important. It makes you become ready for the battle ground called life. Thanks for that wonderful opinion finescribe!

Yes I agree with inf1niti in the sense that even degree holders now have landed on low paying jobs just to have something to support for the family, how much more the one's with no or has little education.(I am talking about academic education). But if these uneducated people will work hard and really do their job well. They can learn things which will enable them to get high paying jobs later on. So might as well their experience will serve as a stepping stone for their success in the future. So prince is also right.

Knowledge takes you places where you don't expect to go or see the things that you thought you only see in dreams. That's why education is important for us. No matter what I will try to give my son the best education that he can receive. It's the only thing that move people to use the knowledge to help others that in need.

Maybe you can succeed without high education like Bill Gates, but I think you will have more chance if you acquire degree.
If you want establish a business by yourself,I think that the higher education it's not as abvious role as empolyment.
