I like playing magic cubes. It fascinates me , because the game looks simple. But it's not, especially it come to the final steps. I have tried many times, but until now I haven't been successful to solve the it completely. The best I have achieved is to complete 4 surface. Have you played magic cube before? Have you complete it successfully before? Do you know how to to do it again, if you know how? Please share the experience of playing the magic cube with us, if you have any. Appreciate it!

Hi cheongyc, I do like playing magic cubes, but during those sweet secondary school days only. I hadn’t completed with all the six surfaces in their own respective colors. I always like to pick the red and the blue colors. That’s why I always could manage to achieve the completion of the tow surfaces only. I didn’t have enough patience to finish the whole task lol ..... If now I were asked to take the challenge I wonder whether I could achieve more than two surfaces. posting and have a nice day.

That's a fun game isn't it? I like to play too, especially after not playing it for some time. Once there was time, I was so obsessed that I didn't realize I had been working on it for hours. It always intrigues me how other people could solve it in such a short time. I found out there are people who could solved it in less in than 11 seconds. It's so unbelievable! Thanks for commenting my discussion, and wish you have a good day!

Really, it’s fun if you have great interest to challenge to achieve it completely with six surfaces of respective color. I find that no matter whatever games we play, we always become smart and skillful by learning from trial and error method repeatedly. To me, I always feel satisfy if I could solve out only two surfaces. I encourage my kid to play this, as it’s the most economical and convenient game. It’s light and handy and easy to carry along wherever we go. There are tactics how to solve the magic cube easily. It’s really interesting to watch the tactic how to solve it easily in the video. Please visit the link below to have a look and I bet you will like it very much. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/732064/how_to_solve_a_rubiks_cube_part_3_by_netpic/ posting and take care.

Ya, that's right. It's a economic yet intriguing games. It could train our mind to think. But unfortunately, not many people around like to play it. Otherwise, I would have lot's of friend to share the tactics and exchange some tips to solve it. I have watched the videos, and I got some idea on how to solve the final piece. Thanks for the wonderful sharing and have a great day!

Really? You must be a genius to resolve it completely Do you have any information on the mathematical solution to resolve the puzzle? I am eager to finish my last bit of it. I have tried some simple guide and failed to complete as well. I think it requires lot of memory and good understanding of the cube components placing. Thanks for your response phyrethyme and have a nice day!

Oh no! Oh my god. LOL. I didn't solve it using math. That will be unbelievable! I learned because my friend who's a math genius and has superb memory, he taught me the first pattern and how to determine the next move in solving. He can solve 3x3 cubes in less than a minute. He can also solve 2x2 and 5x5.

Oh I see. So you mean it's solved by recognizing the patterns on the cube. Once a pattern is identified, a corresponding move operation is then applied to shift the colour square to the place that we want. Am I right? I didn't think of that, and possibly that's the reason why I couldn't get it done until now. Thanks for the tips and have nice day!

I have been thinking of cheating too, especially when I was so frustrated because I couldn't swap it to the right place. I had been thinking of swapping the colour of the cube or pluck it out and swap with the correct one. I was not successful also, because couldn't be removed without damaging the cube, which I really don't want to. I plan to buy more cubes to carry out some experiment. At least, we could learn how it looks like, before it's all mixed up. Thanks for your response diansinta!

I played it when I was a child. At that time I could complete three surfaces only. But one day I "finished" all surfaces as I removed the stickers and then pasted them again on the magic cube. At first my parents was quite surprised because I could finish all of them. Later I told them my trick:) I love China

That's cheating! But you were so smart to do the trick, and it's really fun! I was able to complete three or four surfaces only. It's still tough for me, even I have watched the online video which showed the way to resolve the Rubik's cube puzzle. I hope I will complete one day. Thanks for your response and have a nice day in Mylot!

I have played this once, and have completed just one side and it made my head ache. But I was intrigued by it and was planning to complete it someday. Then I saw lots of Filipinos playing them and have successfully completed it with ease. Then my friend told me that there was a pattern to it. I did not played it anymore since then because I want to solve something with my mind because I am challenged by it. Now that lots of folks have done this, the excitement lessens and my curiosity has dropped to zero. But still it's a great puzzle.

Those things annoy me! *LOL* I always come soooooooo close, but then, a big gigantic FAIL! *LOL* I know somebody who can solve them, too! But they won't tell me how! I don't know if it's a big secret, or if it is just one of those things that either you know how to do or you don't! (:

Ha, it annoyed me sometimes too . I was so frustrated especially when all the pieces that had been arranged properly are all messed up due to a few wrong moves. And, sometimes, it's hard to recovered due to too many moves had been made, and I couldn't recalled what I have shifted. The more response I received in this discussion, the more I know who can solve it completely. They are really good! Thanks for your sharing your view and have a nice day EAStanley!

Hello cheongyc. I used to play it a lot when I was young, but not now. I don't think that I ever succeeded in making all the sides complete, as you have said that it is not that easy. It is good to develop one's patience. Take care, friend.

When I was young, I don't really know it works at all. I just get the fun out of keep rotating the cube to see the change of colour patterns. But after grown up, I now understand on the basic move operation and able to regroup the colour bits. However, I still couldn't resolve it completely until now . You are right, it's a game that develop one's patience and systematic thinking. Thanks a lot for your response my friend williamjisir!

I own 2 cubes now. But couldn't solved any of it. One of them is for my experiments to try out the outcome of some moves. I have bought some for my students as well, so that they could try it out on this fun game. I have watched some clip on youtube. Some of them are demonstrating on how to solve the cube puzzle completely within 10 seconds. How amazing! Thanks for your response and have a nice day!

It occurred to me that once upon a time when I was watching TV, I saw some Japanese genius making 6 faces in less than two minutes! No matter how the magic cube was suffled, they can still make it and their fingers moved so fast that you can't even figure out how they were twisting it. I was never able to make it...sigh

Just yesterday only, I have watched it on youtube. There are some guys who are turning the tiles with extremely high speed. It's so fast, and I couldn't figure out how they could did it. Don't give up, we will be able to make it one day! Thanks for your response and success in playing magic cube

I have not really completely resolved a cube. I mean, I usually end up giving up the completion. But if I reach a point to perservere on this, I wish I could complete it.

This is what happened to me too. When I am near to complete it, I feel hesitated to mess up the properly arranged portion. I am aware that it's needed step to resolve the whole puzzle by rearranging the already arranged portion. But I do not know the exact step to complete it. That's why until now, I haven't completed it even once. Thanks for your response and have a nice day karamellized!

Glad that you have the same interest in this game as well. It's amazing isn't it? I think this game is good to train our patience and analytical thinking skill. Besides, it's also a good pass time. I had been surprised by how time flies, to resolve the magic cube puzzle from dawn to dusk. Thanks for your sharing ansal2370!

He is even younger than you? That's cool. This morning I had watched some youtube movie about how some people showing their skill to resolve the cube puzzle within 10.56 seconds. I don't know how true it is, but if it's true, then their speed is amazingly fast. Since you have seen your friends done it in 30 seconds, so I believe some outstanding guys could do it in 10 seconds time.

Woah! Your friend must a genius! It's amazing to resolve it within 30 seconds. I think it needs very high I.Q. in order to achieve that. I have stopped playing it for months, because I didn't have any break through. I will give it a try again, and see if I got new idea of resolving it. Thanks for your response and have a great day Sandcube!
