My mom likes ABBA, and Three Dog Night. I told her she shouldn't make fun of band's names these days if she liked a group called Three Dog Night. lol I like listening to some of the songs from the 60s and 70s, well into the 80s, but I don't know that I have a favorite. Although ABBA and Fleetwood Mac might be up there on my list (if I had one).

Oh djoyce those old songs of ABBA, AirSupply and Barry Manilow are really beautiful I like them too and the Carpenters as well...oh the soothing voice of Karen does not fail to soothe my spirit. But there are really, really old songs older than those ones that I found even more captivating. It has magic on my ears and can't help get mesmerized when listening to them. Do you know...Connie Francis, I love her voice...and when I say I love... I really mean I love. Her voice sounds to excellent to me. And another one is that of Andy Williams. I can't help falling in love over and over again as I listen to those wonderful voices of those old time singers. I find the old singers better than the singers of today. They have a different touch. Indeed, they are oldies but goodies!

I agree with you. I still love the songs of those times when I was younger. Like they say music is the only true time machine that takes you back to that certain time the song was a hit and lets you reminisce that particular moment in your life. I'm a little different though, I have lots of favorites from the 70s, 80s, 90s and I also love the newer ones of the present. Lol. cheers!
