Let me tell You a fun story my cow workers will talk about for a long time. A bouple of weeks ago, we started a course about helth, and we was going to walk in the wods to learn hoe to walk with sticks. However, I had never seen those woods before, and never walked trhough them. I did not feel well, had a cold so I could not go in the fast rate as the rest of the group, and was behind, so I walked lost in the woods. I was not afraid, however as long as I walked on, I got more frustrated since there was no cover saying wich way to go so i was coming to the end. I must have walked a long time before I ended up where I was left alone, and finally meet the leader. My cow workers was going to go back to work so I was a bit worried about the time they lost and for the second who was going to do the same in the afternoon, who had to start a bit later than they should becouse of me. I guess the leader was telling the other group wich mark to follow, she did not when my group was out, or I did not hear her saying anyting about marks. I never was worried for my self, but I was worried about the others, and I was more frustrated that there was no sign what so ever where to go, only colored marks to follow, not saying wich way was back to the start. I was tired after this walk with sticks, but it was a god walk, and I did like to use sticks while walking. I was lost - have You ever been lost? why?

yeah , i have ever been lost, but find my way back to the start soon because i was with a company of us ,it did't take us long to find a way out, that experience is also unforgetable for me,and exciting.that time why we got lost is for our lost map,and we had to figure the way out step by step.

I was thinking while walking, I should have a map and a compass. But in the end, I would not have known wich way to go anyways, I can not read a map and do not know how a compass work. However, being lost is a god experience. You learn things on the way. I did learn to never leave my mobile at home. When I was leaving home, I saw my mobile thinking, I will not need it....how wrong I was. god job, you had to work together, that is a god way of learning to solve some problems.

I don't remember ever getting lost... i think of myself as having a good sense of direction... just tell me where to go... and tell what the landmarks are... and i will be there on time... but if i can't find the place... i would always just call the person that i need to meet to give me more directions... But i do not think i would ever go alone in the woods... that would be a scary place to get lost...

Well, I was not scary since I new my friends were not long away from me. However, it frustrated me that I did not find the way to the startpoint. I have found my self never live the house without my mobile these days. I do not like to do that, I feel, I do not want to be available all the time for anyone. I like to be on my own. But since this day I feel need to bring it with me. thank You for the response.

God for you, you had a friend who was apriciate the fun of being lost. I was so tired after my walk that I was laughing about it my self. My cow workers though was afraid something have happend to me. I never thought about it, but now I can see the fun of my story. We talk about it, and laugh about it together. But I did learn one thing though, always take my mobile with me, I did not this time.

Yes, and like you I wasn't scared, but oh so frustrated! I get annoyed with myself when I cannot figure out what I think I'm just too oblivious to notice. Usually it is when I'm in a group, and I get fascinated by something else which I then forget to notice that everyone else is moving on.

Normaly I would be in the front of the group, but this time, I just could not had up with them, I was in a bad shape with a bad cough wich put me down every step I took. However, I wanted to do this and I did my best, in getting lost I mean...I am joking of course. I was found and everything ended happely for all of us. Including me.

When I read your discussion topic it brought back a vivid memory of being lost as a child in France of all places. I live in Australia now, but at the time, when I was around 8 years old my family and I were living in northern Italy, which is in driving distance from France. I was holding both my parents' hands when all of a sudde I found myself all alone. I began to cry and culd not respond to passersby's questions as I did not speak french! I was very scared until mty parents found me. The whole experience must have been quite traumatizing at the time, because I still find it upsetting to this day.

Being lost as a child shore do is troumatizing, since you do not know the enviroment as an adult. And to not find the parents, is a childs worst nightmare I imagine. I also think that is a parents nightmare to, atleast it would be to me as a parent, to lose the child in an enviroment where you do not know anything, or anyone and also do not know how to express how you feel, or say any words to get some help. Thank you for bring the story.

Lucky for You it was a nice person who helped You. I read this article yesterday of a young teen girl who was lost in the woods, however she have always wanted to sleep under the sky, and she had to...on the other hand she did not have such god weather as I did in my woods. She will probably catch a cold after her jorney. She left her family to go back to their car since she had a head ace, but when the head ace got over, she tried to find her family again, but did not and had to spend the night in the woods. She got what she wantet, sleeping under the sky. some get more than they want. Lucky she was found again the day after
