can i have unix shell on windows xp/vista?

hi freinds can anyone help me how to execute unix commands on windows vista operating system!!!! please help me!!!

This depend on your computer configuration. if your hard disk is having enough space so it is possible to install unix shell into your computer system

for this you need a good bootable disk for installing unix. and take the backup of your most important data. then insert the bootable disk into the DVD ROM. and restart your computer. and divert the booting from hard disk to CDDVD ROM. then follow the instructions. Keep in mind that you must be careful while making partitions. if you would like to change that you can do but the contained in those disks will be lost

friend no need of doing dual booting .. there is a software which you can direstly enter into the shell....CGYWIN this is the software...
