Do people still enjoy simple things anymore ?

With all the talk about greed and a looming global recesion, do people stil enjoy the little things ?
Last week there was someone on TV here (Australia) advising people to cash in there assects, like expensive cars, big screen TVs and try and cash up.
What big screen telly and I donn't even have a car. My big buzz this week, I was at an auction this morning and bought a brand new electric pie maker for $12.Am I the only one that still gets a bit excited over something simple ?

no, u are not. wish i had been at that auction w/you, i love them had an antique shop for a long time & i was always going to auction, yard sales or anywhere they had antiques for sale. i sure miss all that. i live a very simple life & love it. i don't have a big screen tv & a whole lot of things to keep me occopied.

sorry about yourpartner, bet things are just not the same w/out them. it's a fun buisess but alot of hard work.

Auctions huh
Fun To Win One . I kinda like my lawn with flowers . Every November My Lawn is filled with roses . My neighbours have very expensive plants that give flowers even in winter . But i still like my plants better .
