Do you expect that the others would recognize you and remember your name?

Well, I had a class and there was a question: What would make you a preferred person? A very enlightening answer is to remember the other's name. I do feel happy if someone I had met once before would still remember me after a while,and be able to call my name is the symbole. In "the devil wears Prada", Miranda gets two of her assistances to recite a facebook of all the people in the fashion party, I guess that's the reason.
Anyway, do have that kind of expectation?

I don't expect anybody to recognize me or even remember my name... since i am quite forgetful myself... i am not good at remembering names... and i could easily forget the face of the person that i just met... so... i don't really get upset if people do not remember me... because for sure i won't remember them...
But of course i would never forget my friends...

i do hope oftentimes to be remembered.. it also makes me feel as if i am somebody worth knowing .rofl..

Hiya! I guess that would depend on the friend or the person. If its someone who I just met and got to know for a short time only then there would be no expectations. If he/she remembers my name then that would make me feel good. If its someone that I have gotten close to for some time there is that unwritten/unsaid expectation that the person should know my name by now. If he/she doesnt I wont take offense or anything but I would remember it for a while, same as when that someone remembers my name. Now, if only I could remember his/her name as well.
