You earn money for every thousand page views your content generates. You can earn $1.50 for every thousand page views your content receives. An Upfront Payment is an amount paid in advance, in addition to the money you can earn via Performance Payments, but you can't submit for Upfront Payment if you are not a citizen or legal resident of the United States.

Hi, I write for AC. I started writing articles and short stories for Ac since April and up to now my account is still less than a dollar. Actually AC pays according to your viewers. It is 1.50 per 1000 views so you need really lots of viewers in order to earn. If you have a lot of friends to view your articles then it is not hard to earn. As for me, I only have more than 300 viewers since I joined so my articles and short stories aren't earning. I seldom visit AC because i am concentrating on my helium and mylot. You can also join my helium, it is a nice writing site for those who could write good articles. You can join a lot of contests and journalism contests. If you are a good writer, you can surely earn in my helium because writer's market always have articles you can write to... You can visit my site. http:www.associatedcontent.com/user/201479/felisa daskeo

I used to write for Associated Content, but they have changed some of the rules, and I would say that the best way to learn about them is to go on the site. They have pretty comprehensive information. I don't think that they usually offer payment for fiction, but if you write a nonfiction article and it's a topic that they are interested in, they will make an offer for your article if you give them exclusive rights. Then you earn additional money from the number of people who view the article. I used to write about political events, nuitrition, saving money, being "green," and so on. I never made big money doing it. At the time, I would usually get about $6-10/article. Their rates have gone down because so many people write for them. However, if you have a really popular topic, you can earn up to $20/article. You just want to do a search ahead of time to ensure that you have not chosen a topic that a lot of people have already written about. Good luck, and post your results here on MyLot once you publish your first article over there!

They will pay upfront even if you do not offer exclusive rights. Kelly

1) AC only pays Americans (just giving everyone this advice, I didn't check to see where you are from). 2) AC pays through PayPal so you have to have a PayPal account. 3) AC accepts some non-fiction written articles for upfront pay as well as anything that is reasonably well written and not slanderous for performance pay (the $1.50 for 1000 page views). 4) You can write poems and stories here, but they don't do very well at making money and you are giving up part of your copyright laws (you won't ever be able to publish it exclusively). 5) You can make money. I make between $3-$7 an article, plus about $4 a month from performance pay. I have 60 articles there.
