New study finds that fan use is linked with a 72 percent lower risk of SIDS. SIDS is the leading cause of death in infants ages 1 month to 1 year.Brain flaw may prevent SIDS babies from waking when they don't get enough oxygen.Placing babies on their backs to sleep is still the best advice for preventing SIDS. New study seems to suggest that by improving room ventilation we can further reduce risk."
Do you already run a fan in your kids room? Would you?

Any little thing which can help is well worth doing. The last thing you want is to have a kid die of SIDS and lambaste yourself for not trying the running a fan thing.

I read that in a parenting magazine the other day. I was going to tell my niece about it since she will be having her baby soon. Also I read they have pacifiers that help in saving kids from SIDS as well.

Wow. That is great. I think they are finding alot of ways to save lives these days. I know it sure would have been nice if they had discovered it long ago though.

I think I will add a fan to the babies room before he arrives!
