Colin Powell was the Secretary of State under George Bush during his first term. Powell was also a four star general and the past head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Retired General Colin Powell has endorsed Obama. What are your thoughts about this dramatic swtich from a highly placed Republican? Will this move many of the undecided votes?

I don't know if it will change people that are undecided and lend to the right. It will help undecided voters that are not liking the way the Republican party is going.
I have a lot of respect for Colin Powell and have wanted him to run for president many times. So now we will just have to wait and see lol.

Is your father a McCain supporter or an undecided? My father was in Nam and he has been supporting Obama, I think simply because he is against war.

I think it may make people who haven't really thought about it - and there are a lot more of those than many people believe - take a second look, especially if they respect Colin Powell. I think anyone who actually listens to his statement will be far more moved than those who simply read a headline that Colin Powell is voting for Obama.
