T really believe 'A friend in need is a friend indeed'. I think your friends are fools. They don't know the values of friendship. That' why your friends do'nt come forward to help you. There is another saying: 'Wise enemy is better than a fool friend. So try to make friendship with wise persons.

Well my friend, what the phrase is saying is that in life we have lots of people who pretended to be our friends. Most of these people do that because of many reasons and among the reasons are to get some of your money, to share your popularity, to ask favors from you since they know that you could help them in certain ways. These type of pretentious friends would only be there when they need you but nit when you need them.
On the other hand, in our life, there are people who are really our friends. These are the people who does not care about what you are or how much money you have or how popular you are and most of the time, there are only a few of them are like this among all the friends that you have.
These friends would help you and stick with you through thin and thick, through rain and shine and these are the people who can be categorized as a friend in need is a friend indeed. These are the people that qualified to be called friends as compared to those who are there for the good times only.
So, in other words, there are some truth in that saying...
Cheers!

I definitely agree.
There are always people who are your true friends, or are simply there to be listened to! I try to stay away from those people, not let them into my life too much, so that when I do have problems, I know exactly who I can count on, and who will turn their back on me. Of course, don't rule out everybody from your life, bc they like to be listened to, just sit listen, and try to understand what everybody is looking for in you.
