Celebrity Drug Addicts

I hate it when celebrities, especially child stars that have grown up, announce that they are alcoholics or drug addicts. I think it teaches people, especially children, that it's ok to do these things to deal with stress. I for one don't want my kids to think they need to be drunk or high to cope with lifes difficulties. How do you feel about this? Do you think it's ok for celebrities to sensationalize the use of drugs and alcohol?

I'm not sure if the celebrity or the paparazzi are to blame. People are so eager to hear that someone who is wildly successful, rich and sought after isn't happy and has made a mess of their life It's almost guaranteed that people will watch so they can be happy abut not being them.

No i dont like it at all but their celebrities and famous that's why everything they do gets magnified by the media. And most of them like the publicity, no matter how negative it is. Some celebrities dont really care about children or how they influence people, some of them just care about themselves. But that's the way it goes. No matter how much we hate it.

Unfortunately, you are right. I guess all we can do is turn off the TV or change the channel when they are on and not buy the magazines.
