We're not allow to drill the oil in the US when we have it. Why is this? I heard that it cost the same amount of money to drill it and then to get it. That's why we're not planning on drilling it. The Iraq place has billions of barrel of oils left. They are increasing the price on us. Is there a way to make synthetic oil.

There is nothing wrong with being an environmentalist in the sense that you believe in the importance of taking care of the environment. But some environmentalists go to the extreme and treat environmentalism like it is a religion or something. It has also become more of a political issue these days where the environmentalsts who have some sort of pet cause lobby for the support of politicians, both Republican and Democrat, in return for their support of that politician. There is certainly nothing wrong with drilling for oil here in the States whether it be on the mainland or off the coasts. And it's certainly not a danger to the environment like many would argue that it is. It's even been proven that the amount of oil lost, or spilled into the oceans through drilling is far less than the amount leaked through natural seepage from the ocean floor and that drilling actually helps to reduce the amount that is leaked into the oceans naturally. But, many of the environmentalists won't tell you that.
