I joined a group of haunted tour enthusiast on a Sunday morning to go around Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington DC and hear more about the ghosts and stories of the past. I've been in Washington DC for more than a couple of years and this is the first time that I've heard of this "historic" cemetery. So being a curious person that I am, I joined this group to see what this is all about. The cemetery is old. It goes back to the 1700s, when that parcel of land was still part of Maryland. The guide talked about its history and who donated the land and so and so forth. What interest me most though are the famous "persons" who are buried there. From members of former presidents' family to well-known engineers and architects of Washington DC to the brain behind the National Geographic, hearing about their stories and other information is fascinating. It is not sppoky at all since we started the tour at 11:00 in the morning. And there is no real "spooky ghost stories about any of them. I liked it plus it gave me an excuse to do a little bit of exercise- walking, on a Sunday morning.

That sound cool. Old cemetery's are interesting, I used to think I was the only person that thought so but I've found out over the years that I am not. If you really want to take some good ghost tours you should plan a get-away to Savannah GA. If is one of the most haunted cities in the world and they are many ghost tours to choose from. They have them during the day also but they are better if taken at night. And if you like old cemetery's then you must visit Bonaventure just outside Savannah, they have guided tours of it also. Happy ghost hunting.

That's interesting. I've been in Rock Creek a few times. I didnt know there was a cemetary there. It sounds like a tour I would be interested in taking some time. I like to go to unusual sites and places. This is really a good thing when you can find out about them.

Now that actually sounds like it would be pretty fun. Granted I would enjoy it more if there were some haunting stories to go along with it but none the less it sounds like a great way to get out and try something new.
