Blonde hair and the big question is....

My big question about blonde hair is why is it that so many people want blonde hair..Everyone I see on tv..has died blonde hair..People in Church have their hair died blonde.. But why.
Why is it that blonde is such the preferred color?
This is really what I want to know..
Perhaps once I post this I will find many brunettes and red heads to challenge me;)

I think that it looks best on girls. I mean, a lot of guys look better in dark hair. Also, a lot of girls who dye their hair blonde look so fake and it just looks tacky. When their eyebrows are very dark and you can see their roots, it can look very ugly on some people. My hair is brown with blonde in the front, as you can see on my picture. I just want to look funky, and the green I used to put in after turning my hair blonde faded too much and I had to do it every week, so I just left it alone. I would look horrible as a full on blonde!

you are right about the roots showing and making it look tacky..Yes Guys look nice with dark hair..I like everything natural..Anyhing artificial is not for me.

I think it is because blondes seem to have an image of good fun and a lot men seem to be attracted to women with blonde hair, you know the saying blondes have more fun, well i guess maybe some people believe it, maybe they do I don't know I am a brunette...

Why though, is it, that men feel more attracted to blondes? Are blondes better then people with other color hair? Does dying one's hair blonde change who one is inside?

THere again..I don't wear makeup..never have..yuck..like putting paste on your face..Men don't have to do that..that is something society tells you you have to do to look bettwer;)

I don't have an answer for that. I'm not sure. I don't know why blode hair is such a big deal either. My hair is naturally light brown and it's kind of a boring color, so I usually dye it a little darker with some red undertones and I think that's a nice color, but I doubt I'd ever dye my own hair blonde.

Good for you Bethany. I do know so many .. here that have to have blonde hair. It's even more awful when you can tell from the roots that the original was much darker.
I wonder what affects dyes have on your scalp?

I think its because of the stereotype that blonde is sexy.
We all know MM, she was silly sexy blond, and many more actresses and women subconciously want to be sexy..and many thinks blonde will do that and it does in a way. I miss being blonde hehee...I think I'd change back. It does give a person a special feeling even though it is just a pretended one :)

I agree with the idea of stereotyping;) that's an echo from one of my logic lessons on how we stereotype. I dont know about all the other adgectives that describe blonds.
