One day I had a pink star with a "6" in it and now I have a grey star with a "7" in it - what does all of that mean anyway?

What I have been told is that it has to do with how people rate your discussions and your responses/comments. Positive ratings get you higher star numbers up to 10. Negative ratings get you lower ratings. Those are from the little plus/minus buttons at the lower right of each post. If you are not too controversial, you probably won't have a problem getting higher ratings. Mine go down everytime I post something someone else disagrees with. It is too bad people rate by emotional response instead of by whether the post is well written and well thought out. But it happens here. Don't put a lot of importance on the ratings. It goes up and down all the time. From what I have been told, there are people on mylot who like giving negative ratings. But I think for the most part, most people rate positives.

MyLot star is indicate your reputation in here. The most number is 10 to get it you must been rate positively. You will first see increment in your number of reputation that you can find by move your cursor to the star and what number appear. I have 98/100. Firstly I get 9 number and 91/100. After a few month in here I get increment in my star reputation to 95/100 then my star is change into blue. Now I have 98/100 and keep to move it into 100/100. Keep post Happy myLotting...
