I am using Smartbro for more than a year now. So far, so good. I have never had a problem with the internet connection. I applied for PLDT myDSL but, sadly it is not available yet in our area even if we already have a PLDT landline. I thought maybe I can save some money if I use PLDT myDSL but I have no choice as of now but stay with Smartbro.

hi iamcdy oh, why is it like that. usually if you have the landline, it is easier to apply for the internet service. anyway, thanks for sharing

i'm using smartbro right now out of the lack of choice. globe has no wireless signal in our place yet, and their wired connection is still too far away from our house. i am waiting to have a main line nearer our house so i could switch to globe, they said they will have one soon. pldt has no line here yet, i dunno when they are planning to put up one. as for you, it really depends on your location. if you are near a wireless ISP satellite, then it's okay to go wireless as it is faster to get one (3 days at the most), as compared to a wired connection which can take up to two weeks before you get an internet connection at home. but wired connections are stable as compared to wireless, and offers faster connections. there are pros and cons to every choice, so make sure you weigh everything very carefully before finalizing your decision. i hope you pick the right one. have a nice night!

so far so good. because we are in the direct line of sight of one of their satellites. never had a day without a connection, although many of my other friends who also have smartbro have been complaining these past few days about their bad connection. as i said three weeks ago, it all boils down to where you are located. did you already reached a decision? what are you using right now?

Personally and based on experience, I'd go for PLDT MyDSL. I haven't tried Bayantel or Digitel though. I don't recommend Globe as my friends have bitter experiences with it lack cranky connectivity. Even though PLDT is not that perfect, it is better compared to the others. I have talked with an internet cafe owner and he said PLDT is recommended since Globe is still new to the internet providing compared to PLDT and they still have many bugs in their system. PLDT has been an internet provider for a long time already so they can be trusted.

Hey there! I use Smart bro. but, I still prefer DSL connection because broadband connection is not reliable in terms of internet connectivity speed. Although downloading is quite fast, the internet speed is not constant. like if there is a rain or typhoon or you are far from Smart Satellites.

Yeah, you're gonna encounter that problem with broadband connection. Worse if your ISP is Globe. one thing, if you're gonna use broadband make sure that there are no tall tree(s) near the satellite it will interrupt the connectivity of your broadband.

I have to say that globe has poor customer service and very slow internet connection. Right now, I am using smart broadband. It is faster compared to globe.

I don't know which is the best internet provider, I think each company got their own issues and all. But I am using now globe, other than it's not so good customer service and occasional fluctuating internet connection, I think it was okay so far. Before I am using Smartbro but the connection was too slow so I decided to try Globe since the time we are applying they got a good bundle package which is internet+landline+PC. Still, I can't say it is the best internet provider.

Hi red, I think these are in your place and we use post paid connections are. We have 2 modes of conncetion one is broadband and other is datacard..the BSNL (govt owned) and in pvt firm AIRTEL,TATA,Reliance are line up in front. but the best is the reliance.

hi! i'm a globelines subscriber & so far i haven't got any problems. i haven't tried mypldt dsl, bayantel, digitel or smartbro. but i have an idea about broadband dsl as a whole as i have been a technical support for isp/internet service providers (although international). the main problem of dsl customers is the location of the house to the location of the main hub of the provider. my friend has mypldt dsl & yes it has been the most reliable isp here in the philippines. but of course they also share problems on it. they're located in baguio & i believe the office is far from the house location that's why they often get problems. they would at times won't have internet for 1 whole week. but then as i've said aside from the location, weather disturbances is also one factor where it would cause slowness. with your question, of course i'm gonna pick globe as the best since i'm not having problems with it although it's a bit unfair since i haven't tried other isp to compare it with. i chose postpaid since prepaid will be a whole lot expensive, have wired & not wireless since it's more secure & last but not the least, without landline to cut expenses.

Hello. We've been using PLDT plan 999 for quite a while now. So far, we're pretty satisfied with the service. Not to bad mouth Globe or anything... My uncle got the wireless land line and broadband service from them a year ago but he had to unsubscribe because of the bad service.

I'm not sure what the best internet provider is. I used to have AOL but now I have Netscape. I can only get dialup in my area, so I am not sure who is best.

We use PLDT. It's a post paid plan but it's quite expensive. We have a PLTD line already so we didn't bother looking for another provider because that would entail going without a line for a few days right? I've tried prepaid internet before and I wasn't very impressed with it. Not only was it difficult to connect, it was also very slow!

In india there are many internet providers. In that quality and speed wise BSNL is good. But service wise not good. Customer care department is worst. Airtel is having good in customer service but prices are not competitive as that of BSNL. I am using BSNL broadband. I am in postpaid scheme.

destiny? so it is wireless?

I have tried both PLDT as Destiny as our internet provider. Both aren't perfect but are okay. I think it depends on the budget and the area where you want the connection. For example, here in our area, only Destiny was able to provide us with broadband internet access while the other providers' nodes were full. I appreciate their company for that
