Hi Sue, hope you're well hun? I thought I'd point you in the direction of some sites which offer advice to writers to help them with their writing skills in the first instance: http://www.write101.com/W.Tips42.htm http://www.wikihow.com/Write-Fiction http://www.wikihow.com/Become-a-Writer http://www.fictionfactor.com/articles.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2008/sep/20/katepullinger.writing.fiction http://www.writing.com/page/how_to_write/how_to_write.html With the writing.com, it's a site that expects you to sign up, it's all free but there are loads of articles from other writers on there which might be of use. I write on several consumer review sites and have done for several years now and make a nice bit of money on the site. I can send you details for those in a PM if that's an avenue you'd like to try? Good luck pal :)

First decide what it is you want to write. Do you want to learn creative writing and focus on fiction, or do you want to earn a living by writing articles? If you want to make writing your career you could learn how to write magazine features, promotional copywriting, travel writing, or become a specialist writer. There is a lot of free information on the internet if you do some searching, without having to pay for a writing course. If you look at my profile you will see some links to articles about writing on the internet. I have learned a lot by writing at Helium. It has improved my article writing skills and I have learned about using keywords, promoting my work and about how to earn money from freelance writing.

First, start reading any book that you can get your hands on. Second, sign up for a free account at ASSOCIATEDCONTENT dot com. They allow you to submit articles for potential payment. If they approve of your content, they will bid anywhere between $3 to $20. You can write about anything that you desire. Third, dedicate yourself to learning 10 new words every week. An extensive vocabulary will greatly assist in your career as a writer. Fourth, sign up for free subscription to dailywritingtips dot com. They'll email you everyday with a new tip! Fifth, have a great day! That's all I got for now.
