I prefer taking the asprin or a painkiller only if I got those very bad headache. Then I would lie down maybe taking a nap and it usually work for me.

I rarely use pills for anything, well I'm rarely ill anyway. And I don't get many headaches, so I'm perhaps lucky. Or is it that I'm already using my body to resist them. Headaches are caused by many things, but the most common is an excess of chatter in and around the head. A clamping occurs, splat - a pancake sensation hits you and headache happens. Lying down can help. Quietening the mind is a big positive and so being aware of amount of excess thought around the time of a headache is wise to look at. And then take measures to alleviate this excess chattering of the mind.
I guess that's the ultimate in kitchen remedies
