Not always but many times we have to correct ourselves. Do many of us correct ourselves will be another question and i am not getting into that. What all i am asking is this. if you want to stop a regular habit which we may have then what can be done?

Like u say, it's a habit.. It's hard to correct ourself, but we can still do it.. It's actually simple and yet it takes alot of determination ^_^ SOlution? To replace the existing habit with something else ^_^ Let's say, habit of playing computer games everyday without fail.. So divert the attention away, by watching tv, or really cant control, go out of the house, indulge in sports.. Take our mind away from the things we wanna do very much.. Slowly, day after day, the urge to playing computer games will be lesser or lesser, and finally the habit will change ^_^ It all takes time, and that one must be very patient too ^_^

You just have to choose to do whatever is best for you. no one can tell a person exactly how to stop doing something. Everyone must figure out works works best for them on their own in most cases.

Well, habit is really hard to break and we can usually replace it by replacing with a new one. Example, whenever I am explaining, it is my habit that my hand do gestures and I tried to stop this by holding my hands at the back or putting them into my pockets. Too much hand gestures distract the person you are talking too and it also shows you are not so confident so I decided to stop it and the hand in the pocket technique is applicable.

I concentrate much to leave and even i count how many times i am repeating the bad habits even my friends used to control me at times. But i believe the uncontrollable bad habit within me is anger and i am finding it very difficult to come out of this

in one of the seminars i've attended when i was still working, i've learned that it takes 21 days to break a habit by replacing it with a new one. well, we all know that not all habits are bad. but if we believe that our habits are not good at all, we should decide to change it. the will should come from within us. we should think of ways on how to stop it and put it into action. in case it didn't work for us the first time, let us not lose hope and strive harder.

I think i will tell my family members, friends and collegues to help me stop it. All that they have to do is remind me of that all the time.
