Is it really that hard to read the rules?

Okay people, I realize it's probably been said before but I have to vent anyway. I just got done reading a discussion with 35 responses that was almost exclusively one line responses and at least 4-5 people put email addresses and 2 gave yahoo IDs. All of these things are not allowed on myLot and people really need to read the rules. Now, I was almost prepared to cut them a break as the majority of them were newbies with less than 100 posts, but even the newbies need to learn to read and abide by the rules of the site. I've seen discussions where one person or so slips up and breaks a rule or something, but this is the first one I've seen in a while that was absolutely riddled with violations! It's definitely one to be deleted. So, in all seriousness, is it really that hard to read the rules? I mean I know all of us, even the seasoned myLotters, might slip up from time to time, but not like all that. In addition, giving your email address out on a public forum isn't very smart anyway, especially since you don't have to be a member to read comments. Any one of those email harvesting spam bots, or many of them, will just come along and snatch up those email addresses and eat them for breakfast, and next thing tese people know they have nothing but spam in their box. On top of all that though, I like to be able to respond to nice wholesome discussions rather than ones like that. Also, and this isn't related to the rules, but a bit of a request, the discussion was about a money making site but the user did not give any information about what you do or how you make the money. So, as a personal request to anyone who sees this discussion, and I am sure people will agree with me, if you start a discussion about ways to make money, please do explain more about the site, rather than just saying make $X and expect people to leap. It's better to elaborate, and especially to do so without being asked. If it's in your main discussion, people are more likely to be interested in whatever it is you are talking about and they won't have to wait for you to reply to decide if they are intersted or not. For me, I will not add someone unless I think they have something good, or I have seen them before and gotten to know them a little. So, if they don't elaborate in the main discussion, I have to wait for them to respond to me, even assuming they do, then read their comment, respond or add them or ignore if not interested, then if I add or respond I have to wait for them and all that. If it was in the main discussion body, I could say no that isn't my thing and ignore it or hmm, yeah that sounds interesting, and add them then. Just a thought So, my two points in this discussion are to elaborate more in discussions about other sites, especially money makers, and more importantly, read and understand the rules before you ever make your first post!
