I always try to respond to all of my friends post to my discussions but sometimes there are a lot to respond to, and sometimes I'm like woe! thats a lot of response but I'm very happy and grateful for every responds I get, and I really enjoy viewing all the responses I'm just curious to know if you all respond to every single post you receive to your discussion, and if you have a lot of responses do you respond to all of them in one day or do you skip some until the next day?

I respond to every member who posted there views on my discussion. It is my way of saying thank you to them for participating. A discussion should be a continous conversation so i see to it that i share my views on every member. Letting them know what i think about there answers. It is hard to response right away but when i have time i see to it that i post a response.

Hello apples!
Sometimes there is a lot of comments so it is quite hard to respond to all of them. I am trying to respond to as many as I can but prefer thous which I liked and feel I should react to them. But in the case there is really lots of comments I just try to read them all and rate them to show that I am glad for every single comment I received.

When I first started I responded to every reply and I still try to respond to all of them but if there are lots and they all say the same thing then I find it hard to manage it. A post that is different or interesting will always get my attention. But I have only a few or I have plenty of time and the post is interesting the I try to reply if I can.
Sometimes I find myself going back over a few days and catching up with the ones I missed but sometimes I am just too busy to cope with every response and answer all the interesting discussions that others post.

I don't start many new discussions, so when I do, I am very grateful for all the responses and I want to comment on each one, as soon as I can.
If it is a good response I can say what I think, if I like it, and if I disagree I still say something positive about it.
The most difficult responses to comment on are the single line ones, which don't really add anything to a discussion and make it hard to interact with the person who posted it. In that case I will add a brief comment, such as "I'm pleased to know you agree with me" or "That's good to know".

I've only made one topic since I have been active here this past 3 weeks because I don't want to spend the time to search threw every topic on mylot to make sure I don't post the same topic that has already been posted 100 times over..LOL.. But I think it is important to respond to every response in your discussion ( even if it takes you a month to do it) because people took the time to answer your discussion and it's only polite to respond back, and I think mylot wants members to respond back also. I mean if you don't have the time to respond to everyone then a person shouldn't post a topic. But that's just my 2 cents.. Have a great Tuesday!:)

I certainly hope I have. Hope I didn't miss any. I always wait until I have quite a few replies ,or have given it time to get some anyway, so I hope I have.

Hello apples99
I wouldn't say that I comment to all my responses the same day as I get them sometimes I will do a few and come back to them and answer some more the next day. Sometimes I leave them for a few days and then plough into them all in one go but I always, always comment to all of the responses I get. Sometimes there is like a conversation going on with two other myLotters so I will just thank them both for contributing to my discussion.

the number of response on the discussions i've started varies. there are times that i only get a few and most of the time, i get alot responses. ofcourse, i read all of these responses but not necessarily respond to each and everyone of it because some responses are the same.

at the moment i do not respond to every response on my topics
i have only started a handful of discussions so far and although i could easily add something each time i get a repsonce i want to let the topic build a little first so anything i add will be of interest to more people and can be more than just "thank you" at the moment i try to respond to at five of my friends topics each day
also responding to each and every topic is time consuming and can distract from finding other topics where your repsonce could be more valuable to other people

Even though I want to respond to all of my friends' posts, I can't do that because my computer is too slow and if I try to answer every post I can't do anything else. I am not a patient person, forgive me. So what I will do is try not to create a new discussion if I feel I am not able to respond to it. I only post to other people's discussions, and if they do not reply I don't mind because I understand many of them are having the same problem as mine.
During the early times I have tried to answer every single post in one of my own discussions, and it took me hours to complete it and in the end I felt angry, tired and even exhausted. Attending to one topic only can be enjoyable if the computer is speedy but in my situation when the computer is slow like a turtle I think nobody can stand it.
I look forward to the day when I have a new computer which is fast enough so that I will be able to respond to everybody or at least I can satisfy more people that what I am doing right now. But till that moment I just have to bear the situation and go on with what I am doing right now. Well, nice knowing you and hope we'll communicate again in the future. Have a nice day!

Sorry to say but I don't always reply to every response I get.
I don't have the time or some are just too short. Like the ones
where the reader responses with I agree with you, or some other
short response. Then there is always a responsethat lets you know
the person didn't even read the discussion and their response is not
even close to what your discussion is about. I get a good laugh when
that happens and I think some others do too. I sometimes check back
and leave another reply to newer responses.
I do like reading other peoples opinion though. And I learn from them.

I don't do it. It's too dificult. If you have around 30 or 40 responder. So you must do 30 or 40 comment back. It's also hard for me to think the sentences for the comment because I won't use the same sentence for every comment that I will give.
keep post
happy myLotting...

Yes, I definitely respond to every single post. I think that this is compulsory as the person that has responded to your discussion has made the effort and contributed to your discussion. I think that it would be rude not to reply. By replying to all your posts it shows that you have a respect for other people's responses. If you don't reply then, overtime, you will find yourself no longer receiving any responses to your future discussions. If you receive a tremendous amount of responses then yes, I suppose you cannot respond to every single one on the same day. You should respond to some eachday until all your replies have been answered. Good luck anyhow. Andrew
