Boys shouldn't hit girls.............or should they?

I have 3 boys and one thing I always taught them was to not hit girls. Well guess what: these girls are tough.......tough and mean. I witness girls beating up on boys and they do it because they know that the boy is going to hit them. That's not right. I remembre when my son was around 9 years old and of course I was teaching him about not hitting girls. But for some reason, the girls would always hit on him. I mean, it got to the point where I wanted to say to my son "knock her out" but of course I had to be the parent.
But what do you think about girls who beat up on boys? Do you think that simply because they're girls they should get away with it?

I do not believe that it is right for girls to hit boys, or for boys to hit girls. I think the only time I would say that it is okay is if it's in self-defense. But otherwise it isn't right. I really do not approve of violence, any form of violence really, whether it's physical violence, verbal, or anything. A girl who beats up a boy isn't more right than a boy hitting a girl.
Hitting is hitting, and it's wrong. Though again, perhaps with the exception of self-defense.

I dont beleave in boys hitting girls but I also dont beleave in girls hitting boys which a lot of boys do. And if a girl starts the fight what can you do you have to hit back even though I would still feel uncomfortible about it. But lets just say its wrong for the other oppiosite to hit eachother.

No I don't think girls should get away with hitting boys at all. I think it is wrong and they should be taught that is wrong. If I had a son who was been hit by girls or boys and it wasn't just a one off I think I would tell him to hit back as the other child will see that he no just going to stand there and take it. But that just my opinion.
