wanted a color phone, was not very particular about the camera, but this phone had every thing and with some extra features tooo and I was basically bugged up with the monochrome phone.
I took this mobile about 6-7 months back and I am using this since then, I not found any such major problems except very few, but its on the personal side, which I shall be going through it very shortly in this review. I personally recommend this phone for all types of users ranging from the youngsters to oldies.
Ok let me put the features of this phone first
Features of T610 Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone
Colors available: 3 – silver&black, grey and sliver.
Camera: yes (1.3 mega pixel)
Bluetooth: yes
Infra red: yes
Memory Storage: 4mb – inclusive of all the ring tones, MMS and photos
MMS: yes

Polyphonic Ring tones: yes
Vibrating alert: Yes
Sound/Voice Recording: Yes (this could be easy adapted as your ring tone too)
Joystick type of Navigation: Available
Weight: some 100-200gms (didn’t have the weighing machine with me …jst Kidding)
Cost: Rs7500/- (with bill not in grey market)
Colors Available: 64K colors
The above gives the complete features list and some information’s of the product, overall I rate this product to be excellent and recommend this to buy. My experience with this phone is listed below
Looks and Usability: Very good and professional look, especially I have the silver&black and the combination of this is very good, good slick and slender look. the LCD screen of this phone is quiet big, good view of the pictures taken, broad LCD makes this more convenient to use, Keys are friendly, little small I feel, but nice good look of keys, user friendly keys, easy to navigate through the menus., has very good menu structure, the menus includes phonebook,Camers,Settings, Pictures and sounds, My shortcuts,Entertaiments,Organiser, Internet Services, Messages, calls, Connectivity and Sony Ericsson. I felt the more prominence is given to the latest calls view, as this shortcut is available on the main screen, shortcuts available to turn on Silent mode, turn on Bluetooth and Infrared. The file transfer between phone to phone through infrared works fine.
Camera, Pictures and sounds: When it comes to the camera quality is excellent when it is in the phone, but resolution decreases when it is downloaded to the PC. Because of its LCD bigger in size, makes the picture view more clearly and with good resolution. Easy shortcuts are available from the main screen for camera with a single button press, I feel this option is too good, and also you could take the pictures both in landscape and portrait views. But I felt the memory is less for picture storage. The sound quality of the ring tones is awesome and good default ring tones are available too. We could easy compose any tone and make this as our ring tone; the composer is awesome giving with some guitar, piano, drums etcetra...features. You could easily compose to a good amount of time the ring tone.
Problems I faced: Generally speaking, this is not a major problem, it mainly depends the usability factor also. I had been using the Nokia fones from last 3-4 years, so very much got used to it with the keys, but when I recently shifted it to Sony ericsson I felt that the key response of this phone is too less, means to say after about some 2-3 seconds the phone responds when key is pressed and I feel this is slow, many a times I have pressed twice and I would be unsuccessful in getting my required menu, but I feel when I get to use of it, then it would be fine.
Overall the phone is good with its good looks, rather decent looks and cost is too reasonable for cameras phone with some 64K colors, the nokia model of 64K colors is 6600 and the below models are all of 4K colors as compared with the color fones. I haven’t experienced any of the hanging or reseting problems so far, overall this product is excellent and easy, friendly in use, especially the menu structures and color themes are awesome.
Thanks for reading this review, hoping it was of some use to you and had given some idea to buy this phone.
