Please, please, please! READ the ARTICLE before you post a reply! I have taken the time to type out the link for you.
http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/Obama_illegal_donations/2008/10/19/141979.html?=al&promo_code=6D84-1
While Obama has not disclosed the names of anyone who has donated in amounts less than $200 each, those who gave more than that and are being disclosed show obvious problems. 37,000 donations appear to be conversions of foreign currency, they are not rounded numbers like any normal person would would donate, things like $195.66!!! It is totally illegal to accept funds from non-US citizens!! Additionally, there are over 2000 people who have given more than the legal limit for an election cycle have not been contacted and refunded, even though not refunding their contribution in 60 days or less is a direct violation of election law.
I did not make any of this up, I simply summarized what I consider the main points in the article and directly copied the numbers from it.
Why is mainstream media not covering this!! This is despicable behavior for a man who wants to run a country. How can he be trusted to uphold the constitution if he can't even obey the election laws??
*Again I repeat, please to not reply to this post until you have read the article.*
I realize that some of you will probably attack me personally for posting this. I hold nothing against you if you do, but I will say this in my defense. My other online nickname is Verity. My mission here is simply to let the truth be known, it is obviously your personal choice what you will do with it. I am sick of mainstream media, owned by a handful of people with an agenda, censoring what is reported. Suppression of information should not be occurring on this level in America, we deserve to know the whole story, from both sides, and given a fair opportunity to make up our own minds, not simply have the media give us one side, as if it is the only side and tell us what to think.

a site run by what's described as an " a conservative political organization" isn't the most non-biased of sources, there's also discussion on it's wiki talk page about this site spamming people and being an "online tabloid". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Newsmax_Media

conservative opinion is exactly what is missing in mainstream media, that is why I posted it, because it the other side you will not hear on NBC. Besides, it is rather difficult to falsify their claims when anyone with the know how could look up and find those numbers.
Breaking the law is breaking the law regardless of who does it or who reports it. And regardless what political opinion a person might hold, the laws must still be obeyed.

Seems that there aren't too many places that aren't bias these days.

DelicateFlower,
This subject is something you will find that the "blinded by the Obamalites" will repeatedly ignore or discharge as nonsensical or irrelevant. Their "messiah" can do no wrong in their eyes( or whatever eyesight they have left). I call him "messiah" because his friend and friend of Jerimiah Wright and friend of Chicago's Trinity church, Louis Farrakhan calls him by that name!

While the Palinites and half hearted McCainites will spout logic like "Donations with odd cents MUST BE conversions from foreign currency! There can't possibly be any other explanation!" It takes us "Obamaites" to actually look into and find reasons that many Americans have donated in these odd amounts (see my post above.)

My question is--why aren't the authorities going after Obama if this is the case? Like all other situations we could pull the carpet out from him on...nobody does anything about it. If a person has enough supporters they do not get into trouble. They are above the law.

I read the article, now if you wouldn't mind, I would like you to read something that I posted three weeks ago about a campaign fund raiser I received at work from Sarah Palin. Here's the link:
http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1735630.aspx
As you will see in my post, the letter requests donations in the form of an "Emergency Pledge of $5,000, $2,5000, $1,000, $500, $100 or $50". Please note that $5,000 amount. In all fairness, I'm sure it can't be an easy task for either campaign to keep track of every donation since folks can donate on both candidate's websites and I'm sure there are a lot coming in, but it was clear to me while reading that letter that Palin was intentionally asking for more than the allowable amount.
I'm not going to attack you...we're really not THAT bad over here...but I have no confidence in information that comes from a website dedicated to attacking one of the candidates. There is no credibility because the site is obviously biased. Now, I can't speak for the media but I do know that not every legitimate news agency is owned by a handful of people with an agenda who censor the news and supress information. That would be impossible unless every reporter and newsperson were unethical and I don't believe that they are. You can believe whatever you want but I found that article to be very suspect.
