for many women who use tampons and pads, you should know that its not as safe as you think because most pads made by kotex and tampax that are made to make you feel carefree aren't as safe as they appear.studies show that asbestos are placed in pads to help to absorb moisture, but instead it is placed there to make women bleed more there fore having to purchase me pads.

I was about to pass this particular discussion when I read a sanitary napkin brand which is familiar with me. Personally, I have used the Kotex brand several years ago but I rarely use it now; not because I have a different brand I prefer but because other brands are more available in the market. If what you mentioned here is true, this is really something to be worried about not only by the females, but also by other genders. How did you come to know this?
And I hope my fears won't come true; but I'm just thinking, if they can include this in sanitary pads and tampons, how could they not include this in baby's diapers or aged people's diapers, either by accident or otherwise. Not only this, how about the matter on contracting other sickness which a person normally won't have! Oh, I really hope the authorities will look into this matter and issue at hand and clear things for the general public once and for all.
If you'd be kind enough, please do share your source on this.

Tampons contains two potentially harmful ingredients;rayon(for absorbency) and dioxin ( a chemical used in bleaching the products). The tampon industry is convinced the we as women need bleached white products in order to view the product as pure and clean. The problem is the dioxin which is produce in the bleaching process can lead to very harmful problems for a woman.Dioxin is carcinogenic(cancer-associated) and is toxic to the immune and reproductive systems. It has also been linked to endometriosis and lower sperm count in men.For both sexes it breaks down the immune system.

The material that makes pads so thin is cellulose gel,not cotton.Pads should not be worn for more than 3hours as this increases the risk for bacterial infection in the genital area, cervical cancer or other complications.the asbestos is used in pads because it makes you bleed more there fore you would need to use more pads. There isn't a law against this because tampons are not ingested and therefore are not considered illegal or dangerous.
