I've never tasted burger king's chips because I've never been in that store.
I don't even think they even have it in Australia?? I'm not sure.
I enjoy macdonalds fries but reckon KFC have the best fries.

I can't stand Burger King fries! They used to taste all the time like the French toast they make for breakfast because it seems they did not change the oil during the day. Now that is changed, but I still don't like their fries. To me they taste like deep fried cardboard.
I love McDonald's fries. I read a long time ago that they used "fermented potatoes". I have no idea what that means or how potatoes are fermented. But apparently that is their secret to making their fries so different.
I like Wendy's fries, Arby's fries and curly fries. The only place I can't stand the fries is Burger King.

http://www.rense.com/general7/whyy.htm and http://www.commondreams.org/headlines01/0504-02.htm both seem to say that McDonalds uses beef flavoring to enhance the flavor of their fries. Another report said they also have milk and flour added. You will have to do a web search yourself and ask the question what makes mcdonalds french fries taste different? Then figure out which story you believe.

hi ultralase77, my dear friend, i love french fries of Mac Donald's and i feel that they are the best because i have not tasted of burger king so i dont have anything or any othre taste to differentiate with. i love long and big french fries of Macy a lot. when ever i visit there i irder for them. i have gained a lot of weight but i cant resist them. i hardly make them at home. i prefer to go to Mac Donald's and have them there itself.

I don't know the difference in the oils but McDonalds wins hands down with me. Although I wouldn't mind getting my sandwich from BK and then go get McDonalds fries but they may frown on that! LOL

I have had french fries from both McDonald's and Burger King and both have good french fries, but when it comes to the best french fries I would definitely say that McDonald's is on top because the way they make their french fries is so good, and I could make a meal just out of their french fries, and their has been times when I have craved McDonald's french fries, but Burger King has pretty good french fries and they are definitely in a close second, but the way they fix their fries just makes me not like them as much as the french fries at McDonald's.

McDonalds'hands down have better fries. I don't know what's the difference in the type of oils they use though. I'll have to look that one up.

I like Burger King fries much better. (even though the salad with ranch dressing is amazing!) They seem less greasy than Mcdonalds. If you want really good fries, go to Chick-fil-A. They are great. Along with their chicken nuggets. They are cooking in some kind of special oil & have the best flavor and the farthest from greasy-ness. :)

Not sure if their is a difference in type of oil (although there proabbly is) but Burger kings fries are thicker - I prefer macdonalds fries however I prefer Burger king burgers - just cant win

I love McDonalds fries! I think Burger King fries are too crunchy. They taste like they are drenched in some sort of batter before they are fried. I like Burger King burgers more though! I'm not sure the difference in the oils, but their definately is one!

I have not tasted Bkings fries yet, so I chose McDonalds fries. But if compared to Wendy's fries I like Wendys fries better. And the most unique fries is KFC which too taste good and instead of using ketchup, we dip it in gravy. But what the heck it's a tie to all of them because I love fries.
