Do you let the washing machine wash ALL your clothes?

With the advent of the washing machine, people were free of manually washing their clothing. All you have to do is to place it all in and let the machine do it for you. The question however is that there are some clothing that needs to be hand washed to really clean them up. Stockings, undies are delicate clothing which should be handwashed. Do you handwash them or do you still place them in the washing machine-no matter?

For us, for the most part, we do all of our Clothes in a Washing Machine, but from time to time, you can catch me washing out my Support Hose, and other stockings by hand, but it just takes a lot of extra time, and with the Arthritis, etc. in my hands it is easier to do them in a machine as well.

Yeah Jenaisle, after having the washing machine our daily household chores have become much more convenient. But I’m still hand washing certain clothes like stockings and socks.
I was told that it was believe to be unhygienic to wash the socks together with the under wears for this might cause certain diseases to the private part of the body. Besides, I don’t dump new darker clothes which might stain other clothes with lighter color. I usually would hand wash it to make sure that its color won’t fade I then dare to put it together with the laundry load.
posting and have a nice day.

No, I wash all of my undies by hand. Sometimes if I'm just washing one item like my nightgown, then I'll go ahead and was that by hand too. I don't like doing small loads of laundry. My husband has so many clothes, I couldn't wash all of his clothes if I wanted to in 5 loads or so. I can fit all of my maternity clothes into one.

i don't have my own washing machine here in my flat so i let the laundry service do the washing.. i just hate the fact that they are being careless at times.. they misplaced my two favorite shirts... and yesterday, when i got my clean laundry, i found a towel that belongs to someone else.. grr..

I allow the maching to wash all of my clothes. If I have anything that is delicate I place it on the delicate cycle. I do not have the time or energy to wash them by hand. It is so much easier to go the washing machine throw them in, put in the detergent turn it on and walk away.

Not only do I use the washing machine for all my clothes, I put them all in the same load. I don't see the reason why people separate whites and colors. Nothing bleeds so what's the point. People have told me several times that I should separate clothes, but the only thing that i feel needs to be separated is heavy genes. About hand washing clothes, I havn't hand washed anything in like 10 years. Maybe I'm just lazy.

We put everything inside the machine and rely on its ability to wash. Obviously, items are sorted and different settings are applied as per grade of cotton. This helps saving our labor and at the same time helps the machine to produce optimum performance.

Hi there! No I don't rely all my laundry to a machine. I just use mine for jeans, curtains and bedsheets, the rest is handwashed. For me I handwash my white clothes because the kids's uniform particularly, the dirt are just too tough for a machine to handle. Happy posting!

I don't hand wash anything anymore. The delicate cycle works great. If it calls for a hand was I used that and do not put in the dryer. I will either hang or lay flay, depending on the fabric. I wash my bras in a laundry bag that I bought at a dollar store. That way they don't get all twisted and stretched. It is amazing at how much longer they last. Best buck I ever spent!
