which is better OS

I would always say that wondows is better! I have heard some good reviews about linux though, that's normally used in a server environment. It's good for you to become accustomed though with the linux operating system. If you haven't bought the laptop as yet, I wouldn't! Buy a laptop that has windows on it, it's likely to be vista now rather than xp. Then again, I wouldn't even buy a laptop. Laptops are limited as regards upgrade ability. If you go for a desktop, then it's likely that you will be able to upgrade in future. Good luck. Andrew

Hi if you want to know which is the better OS, I would say Linux. It is a free OS and has great features these days. But since you are used to Windows and the most of the others are using it I would recommend you to install Windows XP.
