e-gold supends new account creation!!

Today I tried creating a new account with e-gold. There is just a message that new account creation temporarily suspended. 
Do you know what happened? 
I really need an account with them.

This information is not only shocking but rather horrifying. I have e-Gold account and I have faced difficulties in logging on to my account a number of times in the past. But I have never heard of this before. Anyway, I think it is better to wait for sometime and try again.
Please let us know once it gets resolved.

Me too hope so! It should get resolved early as I find no reason for them to impose restriction on creating a new account.

I was checking their site from a fifteen days. But it was saying new registrations are suspended. I don't know why they suspended the new registrations. Hope they will accept the new registrations very soon. It was only the online bank that was completely backed by gold.

i have also seen this when i just went to create a new account in e-gold two months ago.so i thought to look to after some days .but forget about it and now only i again went to the site.but the account suspension is sytill there and it is being there for months.i think they have no plan to remove the suspension.or there may be some big problems in the sie.
