The True Thieves

Obama has said that he will cut taxes for 95% of all Americans. Obama has said the same thing but changed it to anyone making under 250k. Obama then goes back and forth on the two number. Yeah and if you believe that I have some beach front property in Nevada for you. Lets just say, for the sake of this discussion that Obama will actually keep his word. 38% of all Americans do not pay income taxes, so how are these wonderful people going to receive a tax cut that they desperately need. Obama's answer is to give them a refund on the tax money they pay into Social Security. Obama is quick to say that the the refunded social security will come out of the general revenue and not out of Social Security. So currently in America we have a sizable population that does not share any burden of income taxes yet benefit from the services that tax provides, now if Obama is elected this group will still be able to take from Social Security yet not have to pay for it, and a tax cut they did not deserve.
So my question is this, in America who really the true thieves.

Gewcew,
The true thieves, in my opinion, are the congressmen/women and senators who write our tax code and conveniently leave themselves out of it! Have you ever been doing your taxes and come across something that makes you scratch your head and say, "why is this here?" because it would never apply to you or anyone else you know? It's there to benifet the people who create the tax laws so their taxes aren't so high, plain and simple! If you write the laws, it is easy to beat the system. Just as easy as it is to give yourself a pay raise. Don't you think it would be nice if you could vote yourself a pay raise the next time you wanted or needed it?

Did I also mention that the man who says he will cut taxes for middle America is one of those thieves?

So what happens when the economy completely crashes because of this stupidity?
0bama doesn't have a clue about what he s talking about or planning.
I paid into SSA for 30 years before I became disabled... and then had to fight for over 3 to in order to collect it until I am old enough to draw on my pension oplan from where I worked.
Sop basically, what 0bama is talking about, is giving everyone under a certain income a free ride?
This is not the values that America was built on... it is Socialism, pure and simple.

The economy already crashed, and the republican party was to blame because of the deregulation. Now, the republican bail-out is socialism. They are privatizing the profits of large companies, and publicizing the losses. The fact you call Obama a socialist shows how little you really know about economics.

The only people who should get paid out of Social Security should be the ones who paid into it, and any who because of disability who were unable to work and even some of them could do jobs such as typing from home. If you are able to work, and do not pay income tax even though you make enough, you should not get social security. Is there not something like a disabled allowance for those who cannot work because they have been injured or are mentally handicapped?

You also need to remember that individuals making over $200,000 will also be taxed at the higher rate under Obama. He conveniently leaves that part out of his speeches. Factcheck.org determined that 81%, not 95% will benefit.
Too many people are just eager to get something for nothing so many of those among the 40% who aren't paying federal income tax are anxious to receive the money he'll take from people who worked hard to make a better life for themselves. We'll never get a balanced budget under him since the higher taxes will go to wealth redistribution and there won't be enough to cover all the programs he's proposing. After breaking multiple promises throughout his campaign, I don't know how anyone can believe he'll keep promises after he's elected.

Talking about never seeing another balanced budget Barney Frank is calling for more spend and said that deficits are the last of our concerns. If Obama wins Democrats will control the House, Senate and the Presidency so I can only conclude that this kind of logic will be the dominating policy.

You know, I've come to grips with the likeliness of an Obama victory, but nothing scares me more than the idea that the democrats could actually control the country through congress. Obama's a wimp who ALWAYS votes with his party. It's going to be spending and earmarks for everyone if that happens. People don't even know what a recession is until they see the country spent into oblivion.

I know what you mean and I agree with you. I do not agree with Obama's ideas and therefore will not be voting for him. Putting all prejudice aside, it is an obvious fact that a lot of people with dark skin think a lot differently than people with white skin. It has been a problem that has gone on for ages. I am not talking about differences in people because of color of skin but what are the ideas in their heads and how they think. Obama, although being raised by a white skinned mother seems to think and feel as those he is a dark-skinned thinker. Therefore, I wonder if he becomes president who he will surround himself with, who he will favor and if there is any hidden agenda in his mind as to "getting back" at people who have wronged his people, taking from the rich or well to do and giving it to the poor is one way to start a cycle of pay-back. I am not sure the country will be better off with Obama as president. I also am not that optimistic about the choice of McCain as president either. We will soon see the way American will go.

I think that you are saying that the politicians and government figures in this country are the real thieves. ALso you could say that knowing the situation of the economy that the people who are serving in government offices are not even going to consider taking a cut in pay considering their high paying positions. I know that I personally never hear bout anyone in congress or the senate taking a cut in pay. I know for myself that my faimily brings in well under 250,000 thousand dollars. Plus Obama has said certain things about the war we are in as well. Especially like taking troops out of Iraq and moving them to Pakistan and Afghanistan. Also he sid something about he would send even more troops to those countries than what was sent to Iraq. He also said something about coming up with a few billion dollars to be able to share information with other countries or something like that.

I did not word my discussion very well but everyone still got my point so no harm no foul. Yes politicians and government figures are the real thieves in this country. If you give them a dime they will spend a dollar, and never what it was intended for.

Would you rather have extremely low income people get some money back, or would you give money to companies that are sending jobs overseas. At least he's trying to help americans, rather than McCain who is all about "Joe Six-Pack" and "Joe the Plumber", yet hes giving the tax cuts to big, rich companies.

So what you are saying is someone who did not pay taxes deserves a tax cut while some one who paid taxes deserves to pay more in taxes. So you actually believe Obama is going to give you a tax cut, LOL.
Oh by the way I offered you a challenge up above just in case you did not read it I will repeat it, name one deregulation that caused this economic crisis?
