Do you like to go on hayrides around Halloween time?
We went to a pumpkin patch on Sunday. They had a nice hayride through a haunted wood, which was sort of cool. It was the middle of the day and nothing really scary, so it was perfect for my little kids.
They also had a corn maze and we were lost in it for a good 15 minutes. It was huge!
That was a lot of fun. I'd love to go on a scary hayride, but the kids are just too little, and I can't get a sitter for them.

When I was a teenager my friends and I went on a haunted hayride. It was a blast. I'm.not into that stuff anymore. But enjoyed it when I was younger.

I have never heard of a hayride before, sounds like it could be fun. I have the same problem as you I can not get a babysitter for if I want to go anywhere. Hubby and I have to do it between us and it is not much fun going anywhere on my own!

No it certainly isn't fun going anywhere alone. But it won't be long before our little ones are grown enough to leave home alone for a few hours. Time flies so fast.

I have been on a few myself for Christmas and other events. The most rencet time the kids rode on a hay ride was at the Yogi Bear park while camping! Yogi picked up the oldest (12) and then came by the cabin and picked up the two youngest 8 and 5. They all had a blast!!

One of the local churches has a really nice set up for halloween. This is the first year we had gone. I had seen signs for a corn maze last year and talked about going but we never made it. I was so glad we did. They had a hay tunnel for the kids inside. They had a "sand" box with corn kernels to play in. They had a nice hay ride that went up through the fields. They also had water balloon sling shots and a huge 120 foot slide. Plus a bike track for the kids. And a 5 acre corn maze too. The maze was funny. There were 14 stations you could get to and each had a map piece for the maze. The stations weren't in order either. We got to station 10 and it said we should have found all 14 stations by that point lol. We only found like 5 of them. But we found our way out of the maze anyway. I don't go for the scary ones. It made for a nice day. They also had a pumpkin patch that the kids could pick out their own pumpkins. And they were cheaper than all the stores!

That sounds like fun. Ours wasn't quite that impressive, and we didn't buy pumpkins there either. I know of a farm nearby that sells pumpkins for $1 each, regardless of size. We plan to go there, but we always wait as long as possible so the pumpkins don't spoil before Halloween.
