Do you always envy somebody in your life?

Do you always envy somebody of his/her beauty,abilities,personality,luck,good family,being loved by the one you're fascinated, or other aspects? Then, when it happened, Are you depressed or motivated? what would you do to find a balance in your mind?

I do appreciate the beauty, abilities, personalitu, look, family standing, status in life and a lot of other aspect. But I don't envy them, I'm quite satisfied with what I have though I'm not that contented that's why I'm doing my best to improve the status of my family so they can have a confortable life.

I think envying others does not help as most of the aspects mentioned are not under your control. I pesonally would not envy a person with more abilities but certainly be motivated to achieve more either by acquiring more abilities, if possible or by working hard. Perhaps those who get motivated tend to achieve more wheras those who are depressed are likely to underachieve by such an envy.

I am not a people that are apt to envy others while I often get the problem with being envied by others .I am often very doubt and sad .Why should we envy others just because they are better than us ? Why not use the time and energy to learn from them ,to do something useful to help ourself improve ?

thanks for your attention.Form your words, I can see that you are an excellent person,for you are often being envied by others, and you hold a positive attitude toward the realities. As to your question, I think I also have no idea for sure.But I think that's depends on the one's heart-capacity, self-confidence and the way he/she being brought up and taught,right?

If you spend your life envying others, you are going to be miserable. The whole celebrity worship phenomenon in this country is very sad and indicative of a very unhappy culture, always envying the lives of others. You have to live your own life and find your own happiness.

HA...I think people,especially the youngs, tend to worship some celebrities or superstars, a possible reason is that they think their idols are as perfect as what they are dreaming for their life, for example, the good looks, charming smile, excellent singing, dancing and performence, and so on. I also don't like people being too fascinated and crazy in someone, thus will eventually hurt themeselves.
