Do you rent or buy?

For the longest time all I ever did was buy movies. Right now with the economy being in the state it is I don't usually have enough to buy therefore I use the RedBox that you can rent a movie for a $1 a night.
What do you prefer to do?

We do both. We currently pay ten dollars a month to rent and watch movies online at Netflix. We also pick up movies we know are good when they are cheap ($5-13 each). Renting movies from local rental places is rather expensive around here with the cheapest movies being older ones at Blockbuster rented three for five dollars right now. But we normally just stick with our Netflix.

We have had both Netflix and Blockbuster. As long as you have a Blockbuster near by that participates in Total Access you can get a ton of movies in a month and save a lot of money! We are going with Netflix right now because we have good cable internet and can watch a lot of TV shows and movies via instant access. We pay less, and though the selection is limited we can watch a huge variety of things right on our computer. Good Luck!

We were actually looking into this it seems like it may be the best rental cost in the long run with how many movies you are able to watch.

That is a great way to do it. You get to watch it then you get to save your family some money by passing it on.

I just rent. Buying is too expensive. It's just the same. In buying, it will belong to you forever but then the question is will you be watching that movie forever. Of course not, so why buy it when you can rent it.

I agree. And for me it is easier because I can rent something for us adults and something for the kids and I am only out $2 instead of $20 or $30.

I imagine that can be frustrating if it is a good movie you really want to see. I hate when I have to watch something and have issues with reception or clarity it can take something away from the movie...for me at least.

I don't have time to watch a movie in the mall. What my friend does is download movies from the net and I convert it and transfer to my ipod. Very convenient. These are old movies I usually sis not get to watch. This is my only time to watch it. The only nice thing about this is that I can watch it again.

My computer is so bogged down I am sure I couldn't even get a movie to play :-) That does sound like it would be a great way to do it especially if you are the only one who wants to watch it.

Earlier, I used to rent movies very frequently. But now, it has come down and I watch them mostly on TV.
